Will be interesting to see how good the DMACK tyres have become in a year, and now we will see them on a WRCar as well.

How much do you think they are behind Michelin?

we never made exact comparision but they surely were significantly slower than michelins... that was on gravel in gp. N 4WD car, on tarmac they were much worse I've heard...

Oh how I miss 14/62 x 15 Michelins (sigh)

Anybody know the sized used on the current WRC cars? Gravel of course.

205/65/15

In the old Michelin system would that be a 17/65 x 15 (same as before)? Cause those are huge and heavy..

Has no one done back to back testing btw Michelin, Pirelli, DMACK and for instance Yokohama. Maybe also a cheaper option like Silverstone and MaxSport should have been tested.

Have none of the Motorsport magazines done a Tyre test ?

That's probably a little expensive for a magazine to do

Can not be that expensive, racing and karting magazines do it.

The tyres looks good so far for Tanak! Impressive times for him.

6th in WRC debut both driver and tyre brand must be very happy with that result!

It was a nice start. Especially SS12 result, long stage and Tänak was 3rd fastest, +6,2 on Loeb which makes +0,19 s/km. But ofcourse one stage tells about tyres as much as intro tells about a TV show...

Hopefully more Chinese brands would come to WRC, lots of money there...

I wish the Pirelli had a greater level of involvement. They seemed a more durable tyre in the later years.

Well said! China is amongst the greatest markets in the world, WRC must arrange an event there... also a Road Show would be enough, for the moment. Brazil too is growing as 6th biggest in the world (read just a week ago), so will be great move going there in 2013!

Will be interesting to see how the dmack's are on snow/ice tomorrow, if their more open pattern will match Michelin.
