Debut on an event where your drivers are favored.

Time to see what your competition has really brought to the table and what you need to do to match and or get ahead of them.

If the season isn't going well you can already be preparing for the next years tire restrictions.

I think they were confident enough in the abilities of the 06 to let it run another half season. I suppose we will find out in the next few rallies whether this pays off.

Dont think they can homologate it before then anyway.

How come they can't homologate it before then? Subaru managed to homologate the S12B this year :s

YHou can only homologate so many times a years I think. Perhaps they did an evo late in teh season thats knackered them now...

Perhaps though they are confident and dont see a need to bring it in early. If they start getting drubbed expect it to be brought forward though I guess

I think you can do do two big homlogations a year, i think it might be alowed to homologate some smaller parts during the year.

Ford is a sponsor of the event, teams often launch in Finland for some reason, i think because of big publicity and also you can see what the car goes for, in walking speed events you cant.
