He is doing quite well. He was 3rd quickest in the early morning practice and was 6th in the most recent practice that ended at noon.

"Everybody thinks Jacques Villeneuve is golden right now, and he's not that special." -- Robby Gordon............................................ ................. 1995.

I dunno why but I just had to.

You guys will absolutely love J.R. Fitzpatrick if he ever makes the majors. Great story, fast as hell and a real entertaining interview.

Tags runs a few of the Canadian stock car races along with Ranger and he's been around this course a few times in a stock car. I thought Carpentier officially retired. Patrick (Danica) got some up close and special tutoring from the best. Ron Fellows worked with her for 100(?)miles(?) laps around Road America.

Danica starts 25th. I was hoping for a better qualification run. I hope she stays clean and has a good pit strategy.

But Alex Tagliani, wow! He starts P2! That is awesome. Be great to see him win too.

Tend to enjoy NNS more than the Cup races, so really looking forward to this. Says on the NASCAR site the event is under threat due to the cost of staging it, being a temporary venue. Be a great shame to lose it. My accounting brain says says "why not have it supporting the F1 race?", but don't suppose that's EVER going to happen. Shame.

Oh, and where has Michel Jourdain been?

lol in NASCAR Danica is performing the same worse crap as she does in IndyCar on road courses.... Would laugh my ass off if NASCAR will ever get a balance between ovals and road/street courses when she goes NNS full time.

It's good to see Tags doing well.. :)

I watched the race and it was my first full NASCAR race. It was interesting...and very long. Very hard to see who was leading the race due to so many pit stops and pit strategy.

Robby Gordon has a lot of room to talk.

My accounting brain says says "why not have it supporting the F1 race?", but don't suppose that's EVER going to happen.

Doubt there's enough room in the pit/garage complex area for all of the haulers and equipment for all of the F1 teams and also 43 NNS teams.
