He did qualify well yesterday with his RBR, but what happened today?
I don't recall seeing him doing anything but that tete-a-queue at the pit line entry!

Actually he had problems with a sticking throttle. His spin coming into pits was down to the fact that he had very poor throttle control coming in and on that lap. In addition, the team lost him nearly a minute in the pits on his first stop due to the above.

Oh, and his subsequent slow pace after that was down to the fact that they couldnt keep the fuel cap closed. This was then effecting airflow and downforce on the rear wing by 7%..... that contributed to his slow laptimes after the first pit stop.

Webber later said that they had all these issues in simulated races at Bahrain and was preety disappointed that they seemingly have not been resolved.

So really.... I think we're all going to have to wait a little longer before any final word on Webber and Webber vs Williams.

All in all, not the best start for MW, although his qualifying was impressive, and he doesn't seem too happy at his new team yet. Aside from the car issues, there is also a bit of a disagreement over his helmet design which had the corporate Red Bull look for this race. MW wants to get his Australian colours back!

Yes. The team have a lot of work to do with that car. But all in all it was a poor day at the office. He called it "a bit embarrassing" which is close enough to the truth.

I think he is in a bad team and driving an average car, so what can we expect?

yeah he was mighty dissapointed, after what he thought was a really good first stint everything seemed to snowball from there. First a throttle sensor went down and in his words "once that went down the rest of the electronics in the car became... well.... interesting" so he was having alot of problems with the car. Then the electronic gremlins made the fuel flap suddenly close just before the refuler put the nosle in the car, then they lost a minute trying to get it open again. After that the fuel flap became stuck open and stuffed all the airflow over the rear wing, which was also a contributing factor to his little spin.

Essentially the race was a bit of a dissaster for him and the team, hence why he said it was all a bit embaressing, but they'll bounce back. Apparently DC didnt have many problems with his car during the race so they took that as a positive atleast.

He's clearly had a word with his team-mate on Australian pit lane entry techniques...

Funny he did better in a Minardi in Australia.............

And in that race only Yoong had a problemfree race among those, who finished behind Webber!
