Come up friday afternoon, pitch a tent at the Woodyard all scrutineering ect is there, then on the friday evening we all have a little bit of a social. Then the stage comes through saturday 3pm so plenty of time to go watch other stages in the morning.
Then saturday night we throw an after rally party live band ect which usually lasts into sunday!

A really enjoyable event - with mixed weather, well it was in North Wales.
Great to see the Peugeot-Cosworth win again - minus the bonnet.....

Well my event didnt go quite as planned!
With setting the woodyard up for the plains it made everything last minute, havnt been out since neath stages year before last hadnt dont much for the years before that so looking forward to getting a good few events in this year.
Car was completed friday night at about 10:30pm quick blast up the road to learn how the car handles and felt pretty happy.

Early start to put the finnishing touches to the stage saturday morning then off to the start.

I liked first stage, i was mega rusty so its nice to have a short stage to get back into it....plus my nav had never done pacenotes so alot to get used to.

Second stage was good, happy with how good the beamer would go around the corners and brake for suck a big old girl!
Bit scrappy though but could feel that a nice flowing stage would come once nav was up to speed and i stopped driving like a tit!

Third stage was going awsome really having a good time and feeling pretty good so pushed on a bit, did anybody see two lads dry humping in bright orange jump suits? That made me laugh! and go wide....payback i guess for doing the same in gorilla costumes ect...

Then through the speccy area and on a real fast bit then it tightend up and i went way too quick into a corner, not a problem as i have been watching on this corner for the past 6/7 years and know it so well although never driven it in this direction, decided escape road was the way but it had marshall cars in it and a log in the way that they put there after my old man did exactly the same thing about 40 cars before me! Only difference is he has about 30 years more experience than me and I twatted the rear end rally over....hate running out of talent! So unlucky almost got away lightly but hit a big rocky hole. favourite quote of the day when i shouted across to the nav after looking at the car i said we would of been fine if that hole wasnt there, spectator shouts "you made the hole"

Other highlights of the weekend included the after rally party as mad as always and managed to get back to watch the 4wd's through the woodyard...Danni in the evo X and Jamie Anderson in the evo were great!

But the funniest part of the weekend was on the high street waiting to go over the start line, the MN reporter was there and I told a guy to tell him we were a french crew as my nav incharge of ordering the stickers had our names as the following-
Darren Jones-D Jean-Jones
Marcus Mullens- M Moutons

He completley fell for it, not picking up on the fact we were i a UK registered RHD car with a piss-take sponsour on the side- www.timbevanpleasurebeads.cum (http://www.timbevanpleasurebeads.cum)

He wrote a whole page about us and at one point my french accent came out as south wales ha!

Can wait to see him on the next rally I do as my names will probly be Russian or something if I know my Nav!!

This Photo shows my stickers http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=227345517281141&set=a.227345463947813.76201.184964541519239&type=1&theater#!/photo.php?fbid=227527490596277&set=a.227345463947813.76201.184964541519239&type=1&theater&pid=1091818&id=184964541519239

Was sussposed to be severn valley but the car doesnt look like a bmw from the behind so need to fix that first.
Next event will be Quinton stages the swansea bay, really looking forward to the Quniton have never competed on those stages but always looks fast and fun when watching.
My brother should he out with his sunbeam now fitted with a merc cosworth 2.3litre engine in....should be interesting!
