On the BBC World Service, they were talking about the difference between the Cruze of last year with the 2L normally aspirated engine as opposed to the Turbocharged NGTC engines.

They didn't mention this, but I would expect that the Turbo cars are going to have an advantage at places like Donington and Brands where there are greater differences in elevation like the run from Old Hairpin to McLeans.
I would expect that the Turbo cars produce more torque and are therefore better at dragging themselves uphills than the normally aspirated cars.

Is my theory correct, daft or idiotic?

If you're right then the drag uphill out if the final corner at Knockhill could be interesting.

Mat Neal said on the WTCC coverage of the Brazil round that the new 1.6 turbo Cruze has %70 more torque than the N/a version!

Im fully expecting the turbo cars to pee all over the N/a cars this weekend up from the old hairpin!

And sure enough...

They need to tweak the power output of one or the other, especially considering the fuss they made over the LPG Focuseseses last year.

Which didn't really need such a fuss making about them, given that (a) they were within the rules and (b) weren't completely dominant everywhere, not least because of their tyre wear. The situation this year is, as I've said before, rather different in that what we have in effect is a multi-class championship in all but name.

Yeah but being able to just drive past everything infront of you in a straight line ruins the racing and is in no way entertaining and at the end of the day, we don't want to see drag racing.
