i heard one in the radio news today about environmental friendly forest felling. Instead of using modern machinery they would capture beavers and
tame them so that they could use them to cut down the trees.

Heh, it's not so far from the truth, they are introducing beavers in places in the UK to improve the environment.

i have another one which is motorsport related.

Swedish motorcycle and snowmobile sports federation (Svemo) announced a new rule.
According to svemo the new rule (that applies to Speedway (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JrgNFKsuLs) only) will be imposed from April 1st. the new rule riders had to follow the same rules as in some athletics running distances.
which means that Riders (runners) are forbidden to switch "lane" until after the first corner to avoid first bend bunching. Any violations will immediately get that rider excluded from the heat.

They make swamps, and often start chomping down trees and fences and anything else they figure needs to come down. Beavers are great animals, but when they start working their way into an Urban setting (which on an island as compact as the UK has a few urban settings!), wait for the issues.
