In the interest of saving time I'm only going to post the standings, then come back at a later date to add some analysis.

In 1990, Dale Earnhardt won his 4th Winston Cup beating Mark Martin by just 26 points. In all fairness, Mark got screwed with a severe penalty for a BS engine infraction (and I'm an Earnhardt fan, but Mark Martin got screwed).

The real standings can be found here:

Now for the FIA Cup:

001 Dale Earnhardt............372
002 Mark Martin...............310

004 Bill Elliott..............197
005 Rusty Wallace.............187

007 Ricky Rudd................147
008 Ernie Irvan...............136
