Apologies for starting a new thread, I did try a search to re-start an old one, but I guess it wont be a long lasting thread as all I want to know is when in early 2011 is that documentary about Kimi going to be available and where, internet, Finnish TV only.?

No apologies needed. I was thinking starting a new thread myself a couple of hours ago, when Kimi was confirmed for Sweden.

"Kimi starts his rallycareer" is no longer adequat.

Now it is KIMI the rallydriver!! And "Kimi to become WRC-champion"!! :)

Mod should be able to change the title.

Kimi Räikkönen - Ice One WRT. He must be serious about WRC if he sponsors out of his own pocket. See what happens this year

Kimi Räikkönen will be the lead man for the 2nd Citroen team, the former Junior team? Citroens client team will be branded ICE 1 Racing. It is named after Kimi, while Van Merksteijn was the first custumer to be entered as a Citroen client. The 2nd team name should be more neutral, or Van Merksteijn should also get the oppertunity to score "manufacturer" points .

Don't get too exited. I'd estimate the propability of Kimi driving Lotus Renault this year about 0,00% ;) . That article is nothing than just pure speculation. Also there's plenty of good options available like quick-Nick or Hulkenberg.

Of course Kimi is the only person who would really be able to replace Kubica. But he is not available so it is not an option. They should go with the Hulk.

After the severe accident from Robert Kubica looks Lotus-Renault-GP frantically for a replacement driver for the poles. Even Kimi Raikkonen comes into consideration.

There is absolutely no need for Citroen to give Kimi permisison to go to F1. Raikkonen is not an employe of Citroen, just a paying custumer. He does only rent the car, he is not obligated to drive it himself. If Kimi goes back to F1, it only means an extra DS3 WRCar is available. And plenty of drivers to drive that car.

not a bad rally for kimi...he didn't crash

he set some competitive times and showed he can be a solid tourist of the sport....no improvment at his speed which will lead him to something even remotely good but at least he beats wilson constantly without crashing...its a nice adition and the sport can use a clown to attract girls and since behind 1 girl there are at least 100 billions guys following her if 2-3 of them have a brain which is connected to their spine we might get some new proper fans here.

so its good for you to stay, if the WRC is a circus act and the top drivers are all the dangerous acrobats who everyone watches without a breath you are the little clown that the audience laughs at, relaxes and is having a good time before going back to the serious acts...not bad kimmi, i may buy some merchandise from you and contribute in the 56 billions (according to finnish media and swiss magaziines of course) you will make this year.

Kimi about his sponsors: "Nothing for you to worry about"

- On Friday we hit the snowbank a little on the first SS and had to go and make a U-turn. Otherwise it was pretty okay but it's tricky. You have to get used. The weather isn't the easiest. The last SS was such a slush that you slided in every direction, Kimi said.

Räikkönen did a good time in morning's 3rd stage.

- You had to come pretty safely because there was loose snow and tracks. You had to follow the tracks.

Kimi has already got nicely used to the car.

- It's okay. Of course I still have to test alot.

Räikkönen didn't want to chat to the media about Ice 1 Racing -team's sponsors.

- I'm sure it's not your worry.

He admitted however the co-work with Red Bull - although you could guess it by looking at his beanie.

He doesn't need sponsor, he is loaded with money. No sponsors means no obligations, PR showing ups, no need for publicity, just having fun for himself. Maybe he wll not be a WRCwinner, but he can play for podiums sometime when he has more experience.

Kimi is going to NASCAR?

I'm not sure that's the best option for Kimi. NASCAR is more demanding when it comes to PR! This isn't the best racing series for Kimi because he's typically a guy who's low key and private. Take Jim Johnson as an example. He's a multiple NASCAR champ, but fans don't really take a great liking to him because he's not as radiant as the other drivers.

well, i think he has shown progress in almost every rally so far, except Portugal. I think many expected him to be bit faster there, including me. It is interesting to see how fast he will be in the end of this year, if he makes progress. When he stops being faster after each rally, then thats about it, but i think he will be faster in the future than what he was in Portugal. How fast can he be? No one knows. Only time will tell when his learning curve hits the end.

If Latvalla-Hirvonen-Ogier-Loeb is making mistakes, or getting much punctures and dropping time, it could be Raikkonen who takes profit of their situations, instead of Wilson jr who is now mostly the best of the rest, by driving in safety mood. Raikkonen could be best of the rest by pure driving. He will how ever never beat Latvalla, Ostberg, P Solberg, Hirvinen, on pure speed alone.
