Side of the bed I mean - for those of us who share that is.

For the purposes of this (highly scientific and detailed survey ;) ) answers from the point of view of lying in your bed.

On that basis I'm a lefty.

Let our awesome survey of scienctificalness (yes I just made up a word - live with it ;) ) find out.

I'm also a righty but as has already been established I sleep on the left.

Ah, I see what I've done there. I might just have ruined your theory ;)

Same here, the side nearest the door / bathroom! Which at home is the left.

I'm right handed and I sleep on the right. :) It is my experience that it really depends on whether you are somewhat ambidextrous and to what degree you are developed Muscle -skeletally. A person that is "Very" right handed tends to develop habits consistent with sleeping on your right side throwing a motorbike, Skate/ Surfboard into a left turn, It has something to do with the small muscles in the Lumbar area of your back and it also makes you slightly more prone to low back pain and injury. I also sleep on my right side and am very right handed. It is common therapy for people with Lumbar pain to make an effort to try to use the other less coordinated orientation to align your spine more evenly and even out the strength of the small muscles in the Lumbar area which you really don't know are there until they start pulling on the vertebrae causing nerve pain radiating down one leg

You use the location of the mattress as a reference point.

Currently the right with my current flat's layout. But generally the opposite side to the wall. I'm claustrophobic and stuff.

When the girlfriend isn't staying - then both :)

Never shared a bed with one side not up against the wall.
