What part of the championship will you be most interested in this year?
For me, it will be the BTC specs because of the ZS's, but I will still be keeping a keen eye on the S2000 battles.
From what I can gather there could be upto 10 BTC spec cars so it should provide some good races. Plus with the Lexus and private BMW teams likely to be more on a level with the BTC spec teams then I reckon the grid could be about 50/50 split on terms of competition.
Roll on 1st April!

with the top teams/manufacturers concentrating their efforts on S2000 and not continuing production/development of btc spec parts, i think there could be a lot of very second hand btc spec cars by mid season!
How long before the top teams complain about off pace, old spec cars getting in the way?

I reckon the Integras especially can mix it up a bit and maybe sneak a few podiums but the outdated Astra Coupes and ZSs (if any!!) will probably run at the back.

A definitely agree with ATF on this. Its great to see Fiona back on the grid, but it would have been nice to see what she can do in an Integra.

Well there is only going to be 6 BTC spec cars out in 2007, so for me I will mainly be watching the S2000 cars.
first year without the old spec vauxhall astra!!!!

So we've got 3 Integras, 2 ZSs and an Astra Sport Hatch and any more to appear before the season starts (another Sport Hatch?)... As it progresses however, I doubt any new teams entering will use BTC-spec cars so by 2008 it should all be S2000 cars!! The ZS is really looking old now, any chance Kartworld may swap them later in the season?

My only interest in the BTC spec cars is to see Fiona Leggate, and to see how the Integras can mix it with the big boys, so to speak.

O'Neill was with Arkus racing all today, plus Encke have 2 Astra Coupes.
Reckon it will be 9.
Don't think they will get in the way, just make for better competition. Can't wait to see the differences on track.
Have the BTC spec cars been given weight penalties or will that come later in the season if they start to creep up the grid.
The ZS's look great in the Xpower Green and Black livery, especially Fionas Mk2.

There's only 6 BTC at the mo so O'Neill would make it 7.
Aren't BTC cars faster than S2000? That would mean a penalty WILL have to be applied, although i don't know what it is or if it's on yet.

I believe the weight difference between the BTC and S2000 cars in 2006 has been maintained for this season.

No doubt that will be subject to change as the season goes on.

Paul said that as always, he would love to be racing, but it's not likely at the moment.

Didn't the BMW's get a break on weights in the WTCC and does it apply to the BTCC?

That was because of the rolling starts. Seat didn't get to keep their flat bottoms, so I would suspect BMW won't be given any breaks in BTCC either.

i can imagine seat getting there flat bottoms back and the bmws getting there weight back for dominating the first race in wtcc
