Yes, 2.0L WRCs are allowed. New 1.6L WRCs are not.

@Mirek: He is a local driver and teammate of Achim Mörtl, the former Austrian champion, who retired this time, and who is also carinthian, where this rallye took place. As far as I know, he is doing bigger rallyes only since last year, when he appeared more or less suddenly on the scene.

EDIT: Obviously he´s doing rallyes since some years ago, but he didn´t get noticed by me .... but I´m not a big fan of Austrian national rallye championship scene ...

Can somebody tell me something about Peter Ebner?
Peter Ebner is driving instructor at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg (former F1-Track) and he is also test driver for AMG-Mercedes, the first time i can remember him in rallying was in 2008 when he shocked Willi Stengg by beating him when he won the 1st national Rallye Weiz (ARC) in an Schlager EVO7...last season he was fighting for 2WD crown in ÖRM in an DS3, but stopped his program after a huge crash in SS1 in his first gravel rallye in Schneeberglandrallye.....

personal i think that he is a very nice guy and he still is "down on earth", so I´m really happy for his 2WD victory specially over Achim Mörtl, strong rumours says Mörtl just took Ebners rain tires in service park, so Ebner had to choose intermeds....

regarding ÖRM: after spectating 2 days in Lavanttal i have to say that ÖRM seems a little boring this year, I really miss drivers like Neubauer, Danzinger, Saibel, Aigner or Kogler, specially when you consider that Lavanttalrallye counted for slovenian championship and Mitropa cup...

edit: I think it ´wasn´t mentioned here yet: Baumschlager lost this rallye already before the start, he chose hard slicks and during SS1 heavy rain came up, so he lost 30 secs in first 2 SS....but perfect rallye for Beppo Harrach, congrats!

Walter Röhrl drove the Rallye with the Audi S1 Group B as zerocar, nice show.

I was two days in Carinthia-I hope they will never have such bad weather conditions. Already spectating was sometimes a nightmare, heavy rain&wind on Friday, on Saturday morning mess on the stages 6&8, at least 20 cars stucked in the snow, Kramer hit the back of the Asja Zupanc's evo9 (she was very disappointed over the Austrian spectators, who refused to help her out of the snow...what a *******s...). I was also witnessing the horror accident of Achim Mörtl at the end of the 3th stage. He was way to fast approaching the fast right-hander on the downhill part of the stage, with high speed he climbed on the bank, was already on the side on two wheels, but manged to turn his DS3 down the meadow, app.100 meters. If he would not stay on the wheels, it could be one hell of the roller coaster...
Beppo Harach finally made to the victory, thanks to the weather conditions he preserved the lead. Normally he has no chance against Baumschlager in S2000. Also very solid drive of Grössing and Rosenberger.
Slovenian crews are no match to the best Austrians, it is sometimes very pathetic when you see Harrach sliding all over the road and than our drivers with same cars driving at least 20 km/h slower.....but the crisis is taking its debt in Slovenian rallying...We have no top driver in N4 class.

Latvian circuit driver Haralds Šlēgelmilhs - Harald Schlegelmilch - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harald_Schlegelmilch) has switched to rally. Tallinn Rally ended yesterday. Like it was said here, the results were the following:

Here is the video where you can see the moment where Gross nearly lost the first place. First three teams were in 2 seconds before the last stage!

Moreover, Tänak had old car (2006 Subaru), new co-driver, nearly no testing and partly functioning powersteering for last four stages. And he was first on the road during the first day and second on the road on the second day (While Luyanuk was 5th on the road). Sorry, my forecasted rain for overnight passed the stages narrowly. And there was a lot of gravel on the road. So, he told that it was maximum result that he achieved. He also told that next small step from that speed was car on its roof:-)

Plangi had broken gearbox on SS2.

Kaur off and one other off as well, you can see that wheel run away from the car and the car slide straight into the trees.

The stages were really good, nearly no ruts after the rally! Organization was not perfect. Big probems with stage security on SS10 and it was cancelled (security guards arrived too late to the stage). Otherwise, nice rally.

The second round of the Danish Rally Championship was a rally where many of the teams - not least the favourites - were hit by mechanical troubles.
Reigning champion, Christian Jensen (Peugeot 207 S2000), lost his power steering at the long SS 2 and was not able to recover all the time loss. He finished 3rd.
Local favourite, Ib Kragh (Peugeot 207 S2000), was blinding fast and took fastest time at 12 of the 14 stages. But he had electrical problems at two stages and that meant he could only manage 4th place at the finish.
Esben Hegelund (Peugeot 207 S2000), who recently won a minor rally ahead of Christian Jensen as preparation for the DRC-rally just managed to take the lead before he had to retire with engine troubles.
Winner of the first DRC-rally, Steen Andersen (Mitsubishi Lancer) had to retire with engine trouble - as did Max Christensen (Subaru Impreza).
This left the road open for Tim Svanholt (Mitsubishi Lancer) to take his first victory and at the same time the lead in the championship. Second was Morten Karl in a very well-built BMW 320 Compac, that is participating in the National class. Morten Karl has been away from Danish rallying for a few years but has returned for 2013 with this home-built car and at dry tarmac stages it certainly is a threath for anyone.

Sorry - forgot the Opel Corsa S2000. A new car in Denmark driven by a well-known circuit racer in Denmark, Tom Pedersen. A few years ago, he was one of the leading drivers in the Danish Touringcar Championship. He has been rallying in minor events - and a few championship rallies - for some time with an old Mercedes 190 and a Seat Ibiza, before he got hold of the Opel Corsa S2000. It is an old car - but for Danish rallies it is still usefull. As Tom - a very modest guy - says: "I think I have got a top-5 car....but not so sure about the driver, though."
Thus nobody expected fireworks from him - but he drove a very sensible rally learning the car and finishing 7th. All the stages were used twice and he improved his times very much at the second run of every stage. It will be interesting to follow his progress during the year because there is no doubt, that he is a very good driver. He also has a very experienced co-driver (Hans Marx), drives in the same team as Ib Kragh and is a friend of Kim Boisen (driving a BMW M3 in German rallies), so he has good people arround him to learn from.

Second round of Brazilian Championship/First round of FIA Codasur Championship this weekend.

It's Rally Erechim, the biggest rally in Brazil. So far, 92 crews are on the entry list (Rally Erechim (http://www.rallyerechim.com.br/site/inscritos)) with almost 30 4wd cars (for us, here in Brazil, it's a fantastic number). This year we'll have the chance to see Saba's Fabia S2000 and Zaldivar's Fiesta S2000 on action. Besides that, there will be two Brazilian XRC cars, one Maxi Rally from Argentina, and lots of Group N cars.

Hey guys :) Last weekend (10.5-12.5) 36. Rally Saturnus took place in Slovenia and I have already seen some of you guys posted some results and also some pictures. I was there and all I can say is that it was awesome, because this year there were two completely new stages which were prety brutal because nobody knew them :) The results were completely different than expected and it was prety interesting because of 70 drivers which were racing on day 1, only 41 of them finished the 3 day challenge. Rally Talsi in latvia started today. Figth between Tänak and Lukyanuk continues. Tänak still with his 2006 Subaru, Lukyanuk still with Evo X, so not much difference, they are just in Latvia.

Moura hit something near the start of SS3, a few meters after the point we were watching it. It was a fast section, downhill. The problem was that it started to rain heavily, so many cars had problems because they didn’t have wet tyres. They had to do five stages in the morning without any service park between them, which is nonsense. I can easily suppose that he slided too much at a corner.

This weekend is also running the second round of the Spanish Tarmac Rally Championship, the Rally Santander - Cantabria 2013.

The rally was splited in two days with 9 stages in overall.

At the moment, they have done 8 stages.

MONZON is first, followed by PONS and PERNIA.

SUZUKI MOTORSPORT trying the brand new bodysheel assemble for their Suzuki Swift S1600 cars.

It was a good day.

I knew he lost the wheel on the second run of that stage. It seemed to me the jump was on the first run of that stage. Now, I've seen on his Facebook that some bolts were damaged on the landing.
