Nothing funnier than when people think they're getting onion rings... :D
I like a bit of squid, it has to be said. Although I did spend a lot of time in Greece saying "squid" to people instead of "good morning" :\

I often sell Squid on our fish stall at work. But no one ever goes for the Octopus. :(

I'll join you in the enjoyment of watching others eat something by mistake. I once cooked pasta puttanesca for a very fussy friend of mine. Lets say he's a traditional meat and veg sort of Englishman, who mistook an 'olive' in my culinary delight for a grape!
Watching someone chew an olive and pretend to enjoy it with fear of looking rude, is priceless. The sadist in me then brought up a conversation where I stated that only true food enthusiasts enjoy such a treat to which he agreed and naturally ate the lot.

Whiskey!!! :D
Reminds me of a certain woman I know who cooked me something with some bits of chicken shaped quorn on top and never told me it was Quorn even though I'd explicitly stated that I never wanted to ingest said fake crap. Wasn't impressed at all........

I had some calamari AND onion rings for dinner the other evening. Great fun trying to guess which the next one would be...

I got these at the market about a month ago. Very nice indeed, although it is necessary to clean them first, so you have to be careful not to end up with ink everywhere.

Tried to eat squid once. The sight was repulsive as was the texture. This all happened in Greece and I may have had one too many at the time. Like the guy who drinks half a bottle of whiskey and the next day blames the hangover on the chips he ate.

I've heard about sleeping with the fish, but cuddling the fish is new to me.

Might take a few squid to get him repatriated back to Weymouth.

I smell foul play. The UN should start an investigation on the cause of his death. We can't leave that to the Germans, they may be biased.

Indeed!
He was a visionary, a lone beacon in a sea of cephalopods.
Rest in peace Paul ;(
