And it's a little better than Elpa, isn't it?
Thanks PLuto!

Bad very bad compared to last year. If it's dry, Kubica may try to win with S1600 :D

It's a pity there is no Bouffier...

I agree with the first sentence. Again no Italian top driver.

I really don't understand why Belgian drivers prefer Rallye du Var above this rally. Only one Belgian team is very disappointing.

And no german teams. What a pity the coincidence with Lausitz!

I dont remember so many german teams starting abroad. In these years almost nobody, only Edith Weiss last year on Elpa and Gassner's in genlteman cup.

Aaron Burkart and since this year Christian Riedemann in WRC rounds. Christian Hickethier and past German champion Heinz-Walter Schewe always do some Belgian rallies each year. Jens Flüeck is doing each year one or more rallies in the Netherlands.

Uwe Gropp is doing all the rallies of the Euro Rallye Trophée, which means he is competing abroad in Belgium and France. There are some other German teams who do this Trophée, but they are all gentlemen drivers.

Still I agree that there are very few German teams that starting abroad.

+1 as usual Wim ;) . Plus other ones at Mitropa or Lausitz cups (gentlemen drivers above all) And I believe too they aren´t enough ones...

I don't understand why this rally isn't a round of French Rally Championship? I know that in FRC are WRC cars, but that shouldn't be a problem, in 2004 Rally Barum it wasn't problem. It'd be very interesting to see how Kubica will drive. His pace in Italian rallies was really good. Solowow seems to be favorite for the win, he knows this rally very well (he starts in this rally from 2004!), but who knows Kubica could make a surprise.

I have never seen Rossetti on Antibes entry list, Tom.

On retirement list of Patricksoft site he appears :mark:

Mirek

It must be a mistake. He is not in FIA approved entry list from last week.

Jarek Z
14th October 2010, 20:17
Yes, it's a great event, but the entry list should be better. It's a pity that there is no Rossetti and Fontana. I think that Betti or Solowow will win this rally.

Marty McCormack is a late entryin the C2 max,the car has been to citroen sport and has new spec driveshafts after his cork 20 disaster.Citroen are trying to use this run to sort out this problem

Mirek

Jan Černý also had many problems with driveshafts on C2 R2 this season. I was told it was some bad series (wrong material).

He had double puncture on SS2 :(

16th October 2010, 11:10
Watch Kubica, he is flying, second best time on stage 4, he is back in fifth overall after his puncture, and only 0.3 sec of fourth place.

I agree with that Mirek, but you have to admit that Kubica has done some amazing good times this year. ;)

Mirek

Yes, for sure but I would be careful with comparison to Kimi. This is not WRC ;)

And I guess a S1600 is easier to drive than a WRC beast !

I don't think so. In my opinion this is exactly opposite.

I dont agree with Mirek. I think that Kubica is better than Raikkonen (despite Raikkonen isnt slow, but he is doing lot of mistakes). It isnt only about ERC level, remember how fast was Kubica in Italy...

Mirek
16th October 2010, 21:37
I haven't said anything about who from those F1 guys is faster. Read properly...

Interesting posts about Kubica, his performance in rally is amazing, no doubt about it!! I'm also astonished by the fact that he always destroy all competition on front driven cars.Still, it is a bit unfair to compare his results towards Kimi's results this year as Kimi's competitors are Loeb, Mikko, Peter, Dani, JML.....and they are professionals-the best of the best!!
And another important fact-we haven't seen Robert Kubica on gravel stages !! And Kimi had this year more than two thirds of events on this slippery surface-unfortunately not his favorite surface!
So, great respect to Kubica, but do not despise the effort from Kimi. He could easily choose one lower rang championship, for example Italian tarmac championship (TRA), where the WRCs are allowed and he could won it with almost with no effort (Chentre last year did it so easy). In this case all forums would be full of praises how fast Kimi is, but he selected the highest championship and here are circumstances more difficult...

nice find Mirek!
very steady and calm driving by Kubica even he seems to sit bit away from steering like formula1.Most impressive is at long duration corners he is cornering with no steering corrections inside the corner.I d like to see him with a s2000 in a rally with good competition.

I think that in the same cars (lancer/impreza or S2000) and on the tarmac (as Kubica is not driving on gravel) Robert should win with Kimi with visible gap. I'm not saying this because I'm from Poland, but because I can see that Robert is one of those drivers that are complete. He has everything what is needed for a champion (except big sponsors). Kimi never impressed me, he crashes too often and has way more rallies behind him.

Mirek
28th October 2010, 17:38
I think that from the driving on onboard we can see that Robert is able to absolutely rely on his pacenotes and that he is able to make them very precise. That's something what Kimi misses in the moment.
