Brickyard Seating Section Closing-2011

I received a call from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway telling me my seats will not be available because of the closing of several seating sections for the 2011 race.

Anybody else get a call?

Did they give a reason for closing the sections?

Nope, but after seeing the attendance last year I have a good guess.

The funny part about it was that the replacement seats were a section next to my original section, about 5 rows higher and $10 more in price. I did have a choice. I don't know if that was a price increase or my $75 seats were right on a price break line.

They did wave the increase for 2011 but I would have to pay it in 2012. Who know what is going to happen in 2012? You would think they would be lowering the prices to fill the place.

But the product has to improve no matter what price the ticket is. But thats another discussion that I don't want to get into.
