Young Norwegian HotShot Eivind Brynildsen will drive a Abarth S2000 as a test for a possible Fabia S2000 seat.

He was extatic about the car after the first test; both brakes, racecarfeel and sound was much better than on his normal Evo IX he said.
He has barely tested it, so it will hopefully take some time to find the feel.

His skills on gravel and snow are very good, and with karting background asfalt should go fine as well, but he has little experience in a rally car !

He was second on the shakedown today.

I saw this rally in 2003. Very nice event not far from the Polish border.
Some photos from the days when WRCs were still alive:

Thank you for your photos Jarek Z (you have a private message ;) ) and for the videos Filip.

Entry list: http://www.rallybohemia.cz/data/competitor/Entrylist_RB07.pdf

Nice to see the young promising driver Brynildsen will make his debut in a S2000 and to have Patrik Flodin on the entry list. I am looking forward to the results. For the victory I think it will be a battle between Pech and Kresta.

Yes, it will be a battle between Kresta and Pech, but who knows, maybe Flodin and Brynildsen will join it?

But in my humble opinion, Flodin made a mistake when he decided to enter this rally and not Rally Poland. Can you imagine a fight among three Subarus in the hands of Svedlund, Holowczyc and Flodin? That would be something!

I agree with you Jarek.. and I suppose Flodin isn't so good at Tarmac.. maybe he is trying to get some more experience in Tarmac rallys

Flodin´s run on last year Bohemia was incredible! It was his first start on tarmac, but he was doing top times! Unfortunately his car broke at first superspecial stage, so in fact he started to the rally with five minutes of penalty... Look forward to his this year Bohemia performance!

It's only a super special stage... but the new Norwegian Rally star
started really well in his debut with a S2000!

Best luck for Brynildsen tomorrow! ;)

Brynildsen beat Flodin when both in a Gr N car, on gravel. Lets see what happens with S2000 vs Gr N on asfalt ??

But it would be cool with a another Norwegian in a factory Skoda, does that ring a bell ? We have a norwegian that still is a hero in Tjekkia - anyone that remembers who ?

Maybe John Haugland ??

Maybe John Haugland ??

Bingo !

That was not too hard though ... !! ;)

He mainly drove the 130 RS and 130 LR and did very well in the 1300ccm engined car !! He is by the way also the mentor of Eivind B !

]I agree with you Jarek.. and I suppose Flodin isn't so good at Tarmac.. maybe he is trying to get some more experience in Tarmac rallys

Thats why he is starting on Bohemia and not in Poland. He wants to improve his skill on tarmac...

Yesterday on Sosnova he was doing SSS with Skoda 120 S Rallye and made time 2:02.5 :-)

SS 2 will be very short city stage. Road is dry, but there is very little rain. On other stages is classic rain, stages are wet. So no big chances for Prokop :-(

Seems like Brynildsen is out of luck, as he didn't finish ss3 yet. Does anyone have some info?

Brynildsen went off road and damaged right side of his punto.

Also Flodin lost lot of time...now it is down to locals to decide rally winner. I would bet on Kresta or Pech. But rally is still long to go, so some overturns in leadership are expected. I am dissapointed with such poor entries, I guess oragnizers made a mistake with this year`s maraton stages...

Filip

Pech fastest on RZ4, only 5.6 behind Kresta now, a great battle. :) :)

In SS5 and after almost 28km of stage Kresta has lost only 0,4 s to Pech. Amazing battle!

Flodin used slicks on the morning stages, so he lost time. Now the roads are already dry. Pech was very confident with the second section, but he said he wouldn´t run faster at next stages. Kresta did not make accurate choice of tyres, although he is the fastest. Prokop is happy that the roads are dry, but in second section he was pushing very hard and was three times out of track, luckily only some time was lost. Brynildsen hit a tree at SS6, the crew is OK, but the car is hardly damaged. It happened in very narrow place, so the stage had to be cancelled.

Once more me... Onboard from stage 6 Sychrov where both Brynildsen's crashes happend, driver Jaromír Tarabus, Suzuki Ignis S1600. First crash (stage 3), ditch in the left corner after the bridge, time ca 1 minute 25 seconds. Second crash time ca 12 minutes 10 second.
