Oh Oh, Janvanvurpa is gonna get you now :D

Beautiful car, nice show, nice quality video.
But "ultimate driving skills"? No way!

I've seen all kinds of racing and driving exhibitions over the years. But this is the best that I've ever seen. I sat with my mouth open for nearly 8 minutes while watching this one.

Hopefully people will check it out. Some vids are a waste of time. I think this one is worth every viewing second.

What is so brilliant about the driving in this video if I may ask? It's not much more than a bunch of donuts and a bunch of drifts, all heavily edited. I'm not talking about the quality of the video or the entertainment value, purely the driving.

You don't believe that it took a very high level of skill to do what he did in that video? Yes, there are edits. But it's real, not special effects. Some of the moves were done in one take. Personally, I was very impressed by his car control and placement skills. Clearly, you were not. Oh well...

It's not my desire to tell people what they should or shouldn't like. My girl sees racing pretty much the same way that you saw this video: just a bunch of guys going in straight lines, around corners or in circles. Oh well...

To each his or her own.

I saw Ken Block stall it on 3 seperate ocassions during the Goodwood Festival of Speed, he couldn't even handbrake turn into a donut (failed at that one twice). His gymkhana videos are quite pretty and take more skill than many give him credit for, however his car control ain't all that. You can tell from all the black lines that a lot of the moves were done over and over before being shot.

Personally I prefer this selection:
Russ Swift showing that you don't need the stupid power that Block uses
-PjMNbyqEWY

No massive spaces to get it wrong here

You may have heard of this chap, Ken Block dreams of being as good as the blokes that struggle to stay on terms with him

Block is the master of putting out a video that shows off his skills, but I am sure a few of the other top rally guys could do simliar stuff.

Great car control, but even Ken admits they sometimes do a few takes to get the right look for the camera...

He is a master promotor...because the whole point of these vids is basically a commercial for DC shoes and apparel, which Ken owns....

and MIO got it in one. He's the master of putting out the best videos. But cut the man a bit of slack, he's allowed to practise :p :

I'm sure any good rally or drift driver, given a large budget, could easily make better videos than Ken Block. Still, I have to respect him for the stuff he gets up to :s mokin:

He was interviewed. He says they do about 4 or 5 run throughs to get the best shots....

I suspect many drift and rally drivers could do what he does, but they DON'T....so to all his critics, I say booya....Block may not win WRC events but he sure makes great car porn!

Personally, I thought it was great. Coming out of that tunnel and having to make a sharp left within 100 yards was spectacular.

Yep, I enjoyed watching his vids. So I turned a couple of guys I work with onto them too. They went nuts over them as well.

Here he is in his (0-60 in 3.0 seconds) WRX STI:

The top guys can drive cars fast also, in that way they are different from block.
