There is a better way. Think Fast is about ways to win with smarts instead of money.

The entire Carroll Smith line of of books starting with 'Prepare to Win'.
His books were the race mechanics' bible although outdated in some aspects now.
My copies are well thumbed and stained!
The late Carroll Smith was a fascinating guy to talk to. He spent a season in F Atlantic when I was an Atlantic wrench.
Not so much on the art of driving but on proper car preparation.

While driver talent does help it can't help if you don't have a fast car.

You can take Hamilton and Alonso from their respective teams and put them in the HRT or Virgen cars and they will not get out of Q1.

Look at Kovalinen! He was a front runner at McLaren.....now?

Think Fast has 1 chapter about driving and 17 about car development. It's a practical race car user's guide, not just another driving or technology book.
