Ok, Ferrari should be punished we can all agree that Ferrari need to be penalized. Alonso too, for pretty much requesting it.

But should Massa be penalized too?
After all he did chose to yield his place to Alonso.

Thoughts?

On balance, yes he should if he lied to the stewards in the same way he just did to the TV cameras.

Unless he owns up, then yes, he should be. Immunity IF AND ONLY IF he admits what happened openly.

I think that Fernando has something in his contracts which quite literally forces his opponent to roll over and play dead when Massa's just in front of him

No, we can't agree. No one should be punished. If we have stupid team orders rule then we have to deal with such situations.

Ferrari should lose all the points they scored this season so far and forced to restart everything, unless the punishment is severe this is going to happen again and again.they have no rules and regulations..another thing confirmed that the ladyboy alonso is never capable competing against decently faster team mate .

why should Massa be punished :?:

just ask Rubens , it can't be nice being a lapdog to anyone...def will be a better punishment than any the FIA can give out :cheese:

There is a rule forbidding team orders...
I'm not questioning the existence of that rule. All I say, that this rule is stupid. Team orders was, is and will be in F1. Always.
Every team is criticized for doing it. But Every team do this. Listening to Horner, who's asking for penalty for Ferrari is pathetic. He's hypocritical.

Of course it's not nice to watch but this is the reality. So, for all of us, be a man and let's stop complaining. :)

Reality? The reality is, Ferrari deliberately broke a rule. Do team orders go on behind the scenes, of course they do but then the teams need to put a case together, stand up and get the rules changed. Until then, they are the lowest form of cheats.

My decision to let Alonso pass- Massa says..
he should be punished for race fixing, we could have seena nice battle Massa Vs Alonso but were robbed of it, this atttiude of open team orders cannot go on anymore. exclude ferrari's from the championship at once is the best answer to this.

If it was horse racing definitely yes - not trying enough - but as it is F1 no as his employer left him no choice.

ojciec dyrektor - it doesn't matter if the rule is stupid, it is the rule. The no refuelling rule or the having to use both types of tyre might be stupid but they are the rules that everyone who has entered the Championship has signed up to.

I agree. All I'm saying is when there wasn't that rule teams were saying "let second driver through". Now, the only change, is that teams are saying "second driver is faster". That's not an order. That makes illusion that it's driver's decision and not an team orders.

I'm only trying to prove that it's stupid rule. There always will be team orders in F1 and every team do this.

Felipe is already being punished by being forced to remain a #2 driver to Alonso. As for the legality of race fixing, I'm not sure what a court would do under such a circumstance, as there was obvious duress involved.

If Alonso was the driver many claim him to be we would never have to worry about such blatant team orders taking place.
