Rate the race on a scale of 1 to 10.

I will give it a 6.5. Not my favorite track.

Congrats to Reutimann.

TNT -5/10

the race 7/10 and thats really up only thanks to Nascar not throwing a debris caution to bunch up the field in the final 20 laps.

I thought the racing was pretty good, but TNT absolutely sucks

I thought the racing was pretty good, but TNT absolutely sucksI thought the race coverage was pretty dull, but the race was ok. Watching drivers trying to hang on to very loose cars was entertaining. Chicago, like a few other cookie cutter 1.5 oval tends to spread out the cars, but there were some good battles. Race - 7

But TNT didn't do a good job, especially in comparison to Loudon where the wide open coverage gave the race continuity. Early in the race, my spouse and I joked about how many laps would be shown between commercials and how many would be lost while the same tepid and annoying commercials played over and over again. 8 laps of racing - 8 laps of commercial. Late in the race, the ratio changed, but by then I was napping. At least we weren't subjected to "digger" graphics and other silly stuff.

Maybe it is just a sign of today's TV business model where commercials overwhelm the content as all NASCAR coverage falls into the same trap. But it does make it real hard to watch. It isn't just TNT, all of the networks follow the same pattern. TV coverage in general - 4
