Ah Donegal. I was at this rally back in 2005. And a great one it was. Some major cool stages on this event like Atlantic Drive, Knockalla and Fanad.

I'm down, in an N4.

I think the Ireland option is only available from update 4 LCD. I won't be entering this one, gotta get on with packing my house for our move at the end of the month.

Yes you're right Bruce, but I lost some cars plus the BTB tracks don't work-must Install a newer version of BTB tracks It says...

I like the choice of Chirdonhead for tarmac

Although there are a few bumps that will totally pitch your car off the road!

Dual entries okay, MacD?

I've nearly completed day 1 in an S2000 Skoda.

Lancia is proving a bit unwieldy...

I see you're getting the hang of the program there Macd. :D

Q. Is there any P2000 or 1990s Impreza Group N car available for RBR in conjunction with RSRBR? From what I remember, the car is not available from the default car selections given with RSRBR10. Can it be downloaded in isolation (if available) and added to RSRBR?

tannat
19th June 2010, 13:16
I've completed through Noiker on day 2....

Was caught out by bumps on Chridonhead and Pribram and had a spin or two, but aside from that a fairly straightforward run.

Have yet to hit the bad weather, though.... :D

Just finished the rally and it was a tough one.

Day one was ok'sh but I had an off at the hairpin right on SS3 and missed a junction on SS5. I also drove very carefully in the dark which possibly hurt the stage times.

Day two went well but once again I drove carefully on SS9, especially at the high speed parts where a small bump can throw the car easily off the road.

On day three and on SS10 I had a spin near the end in one of the K lefts when I suddenly lost traction at the rear. And finally on SS11 I once again went offroading but luckily didn't lose much time there. On SS12 I had no grip at all at the gravel part of the stage, so I had hard time keeping the car on the road.

Unless I have insomnia tonight I'll only be submitting my S2000 times.

Fell a bit behind with everything over the weekend...

Finished my rally too.

Just a question guys, I was trying to save a replay with Fraps to show you and I dont know why when I press F9 to record informations like brakes, suspension etc show up on screen.

Does anyone know how to stop it?!

NeverKnow
21st June 2010, 18:59
Change Fraps video capture key to something else like F7 or F8. As far as I can figure out F9 is binded to RBRdll, that's what is brought up when you press F9 key.

Oh ok Thanks.

Still the video is 3.2GB, too big for Youtube.

Yeah, you need to convert it to something smaller. I use program called Super for that, if you like you can get from here (http://www.erightsoft.com/S6Kg1.html). It is a freeware program.
Let me know if you have any problems with it.

Those were challenging stages. I decided on driving an N10 Subaru for this rally and I dedicate my driving to Tommy Maguire who was killed on this event at the weekend.

Unfortunately, I didn't settle well with the tarmac mod over gravel stages. One thing that peeves me off is when you're driving at over 100mph and, without warning, the car unbalances itself over an unseen bump. Chirdonhead II, East-West II and Nokier were particularly bad in this department. The Finnish stages, not so, but they were slippy as heck - even in the dry! Nothing to shout about but a fun enough rally.

Congrats for the win Macd!
It was a great event and I'm pleased with my overall performance, though there are places where I can improve. Also it was nice to drive on tarmac for a change.

I guess it was a bad enough rally for me. When I got it reasonably right, I was only a few seconds off tannat, but when I got it wrong (esp. SS9), I got it badly wrong. Cheers for running the event MacD and congrats on your win

I like the format. But I really don't get along with the tarmac mod on gravel stages. If the stages are mostly Japan, Australia or USA with the tarmac mod, I'll probably skip it. But otherwise, it's a nice break from the norm :)
