Just wondering. It looks as though most here are following European/British TC racing. Thought I would post a few pics and short trailer video to an idependant film being done about STaSIS Motorsports. I am involved in the program and always loved the European and British series.
Some spec on our cars.

Chances are they probably don't, simply because it isn't something that will get major coverage on 'this side of the pond'. Its a shame really as most fans over here will embrace saloon car racing of any kind.

Ah Funks, this would be what you mentioned. Yep we'll be seeing a few of these races this year.
What sort of power are they? Notice that Audi is the turbo 1.8, so no regs that engines have to be NA?

One of the few international race series we don't see over here on satellite! It'd be interesting to see what it's like compared to the other touring car series. Am I right in thinking those Audis were made by Apex (formerly Audi Sport UK) in Buckingham?

Yep - that's the thing. All being well they'll put on a good show at the events we're going to.
The basic regs are these:
Grand Touring (GT): Includes a variety of production displacements with no maximum. Forced induction is permitted and is used to equalize individual models. Sedans, coupes, convertibles and two-seat models are permitted. The cars can be rear-wheel, or all-wheel drive. Class horsepower range is 425-550 bhp.
Touring Car (TC): Cars up to 2.8-liters that are naturally aspirated are permitted. Forced induction permitted as if it came that way from the factory. The cars can be front-wheel, rear-wheel, or all-wheel drive. The cars must be able to seat four adults, and convertibles are not allowed. Class horsepower range is 225-275 bhp.

Quit complaining Radders. You can always stay at home. :p :
There are also BMWs, Mazdas, Hondas (Acura).
Looking forward to comparing them to ours. There are a few decent clips on you tube.

Iain - Yes, we did put two chassis through them for seam welding and cage structure to be put in. The third one we built ourselves.
PDS - SCCA has the whole season on DVD. If you contact Candice Bailey she can get them to you.

Also, there was talk of trying to get out Audi A4's on a track somewhere in the South Western US when WTCC was in Mexico to see how the cars compared. Sadly it did not pan out.

Thanks bauer. I have sent you a PM.
