Rejoice people, for the quiz that no one wanted and/or needed is back!

Following the epic fail that was the MMQQOA (Massive Movie Quote Quiz of Awesomeness), it was cancelled after just two pages of legendary quiz quoting.

Fortunately for you quiz fans the story does not end there. Placed into syndication the MMQQOA soon became a cult classic and thanks to literally a letter of support MMQQOA[2] has risen from the ashes.

So cue me, stage left, still sporting a perma-tan and sparkly jacket. But as the years have not been kind also a wig (of strangely curly brown hair, replacing the once golden locks) and a gurdle to hold in the expanding gut. *

Even more simples than last time, all you now need to do is fill in the missing word from a famous movie quote. So for example I would ask for the missing word(s);

"......Bond. ***** Bond"

And you would say Kevin.

And I would laugh at your face and stuff. But mostly your face.

See simples!

Participation is madatory* so enjoy!

Here's a very easy one to ease into;

Of all the *** joints in all the towns in all the world, she had to **** into mine

* any similarities between these statements and William Shatner or Star Trek are purely intentional

*Failure to participate will result in absolutely no consequences! :)

I wouldn't call Rick's American Cafe a gin joint. I'm sure he sold whiskey too!

Hey don't blame me. I'm just quoting! I declare you the winner of round one. (By virtue of being the only player).

You now get a prize of awesomeness. Either a speed boat. A holiday. Or the chance to ask amother question!

I strongly suggest option 3, as the speed boat sunk last summer and the holiday is to afganistan!

You forgot "walk".

You forgot "walk".

TBH I was like a hungry kid at fat camp and bit into the first answer I got - such was the epic fail that was this quiz first time round. If you've got one go ahead, edv doesn't seem to be about. :)

Thank you, gracious master of eh, ceremonies.

Here's one:

A ******* is always intense.

Sonic
14th May 2010, 21:22
I prefer the title of supreem overlord ;)

Not sure with your question. It reminds me of something from the '80's - right ball park?

edv

Repo Man is always intense..
Fandango. Was that a movie? Or was that Mandingo?

This one is not amazingly tough:

"I'm not a smart man, but I know what **** is."

Thanks for playing btw.

Thanks for playing btw.

Now you're appealing to my humility and modesty.

Yes Forrest Gump is the correct response.

Carry on!

Well this is my wife's suggestion;

"I carried a **********"

GridGirl

Watermelon. My other half didn't get it until I made him take me to see the musical and to be honest I still don't think he gets it now. Got to love Dirty Dancing. :D

Hey *** ****

Rollo
18th May 2010, 02:27
"Hey you, Lama" from Caddyshack?

GridGirl
18th May 2010, 09:33
You got the first word right but fortunately no Llama's were hurt the the production of this quote. Or Lama's either. :)

Oh not another one, I get enough of that from the wife :p .

Oooo Oooo!

"Hey you guys"

Goonies?

GridGirl
18th May 2010, 14:28
Yep, Sloth from the Goonies did say..'Heeeeyyyy, you guuuuyyys'

Sonic

Excellent movie - great childhood memories.

Next one;

"I can't fell my ****........... I don't have any ****........ I think I need a ***"

"I can't fell my ****........... I don't have any ****........ I think I need a ***"

Ooops! That should read;

"I can't feel my ****......."

GridGirl
18th May 2010, 20:13
I think I need a hug? Apart from that I have no idea.

Sonic
18th May 2010, 21:39
You are correct with the last line grid girl.

So the line now reads (with added stage direction as a clue);

"I can't feel my **** [looks down]. I don't have any ****. I think I need a hug"

edv

Toes / Legs ?

Mark
19th May 2010, 12:12
Donkey from Shrek?

Sonic
19th May 2010, 18:20
Indeed. It is Donkey and the line reads;

"I can't feel my toes! I don't have any toes. I think I need a hug."

Love that movie. My sister and I could (rather sadly) quote that movie almost line for line :)

You two can fight over the next Q.

To the last, I will ******* with thee... from Hell's heart, I stab at thee! For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee!

Didn't know you were a treker!

Wrath of Khan - I think the line is "grapple"

edv
20th May 2010, 01:50
KHAAAAAAAANNN!!!

Yes, Sonic, you are correct. The line was stolen by Khan from Moby Dick, I think.

Sonic

WOOP!

Ok, my turn;

"I didn't know you could *** a plane."
"***, yes. ****, no."

(Two people speaking here btw)

fly; fly; land.

I can't remember the film, even though I know I've seen it. Do I win?

Sonic
20th May 2010, 14:51
You do indeed win! A thousand points points to you sir :D

It was from Indy 3, line one spoken by Henry Jones, line two by Indy (jnr) himself.

fandango
20th May 2010, 15:06
A: I can't fly. I also suffer from agrophobia and claustrophobia.
B: I tell you what. If you don't co-operate you're gonna suffer from ***********

Sonic
20th May 2010, 16:36
Hmmmm. Not sure on that one. The first line sounds familiar but I can't place it.

fandango
20th May 2010, 18:24
Well, the names of the actors, then? A is Charles, B is Robert.

Ok, ok, it was a bit obscure. I'm going to give the answer to avoid being "the one who killed the thread", and also because we're going camping for the weekend.

Fistophobia. It's from Midnight Run.
