I have to say that the eclipse, so far, has been a big disappointment. The first hour has been predictable and the action, if you can call it that, has been so slow to unfold that I've found my attention wandering. The colours, so highly touted in today's paper, have been pallid and lifeless, the biggest disappointment of all. Enthusiasts for hurricanes and volcanic eruptions will find tonight's eclipse tepid entertainment indeed, and I strongly recommend against further watching for all but the most die-hard eclipse fans.

Well, that was the best eclipse I've ever seen. Very omenous though, I think I'll just stay in my pit all day to be on the safe side.

I didn't see it. I had way more fun driving in thick fog and rain with dodgy wipers. :burnout: I wasn't behind the wheel though, I was the co-driver. :o

I have never understood what is there so impressive in a moon eclipse. I understand the sun one but moon? You can periodically see only half or less moon, what is there so special? Anyone?

I may be missing something, but all that I saw last night was a full moon, followed by a partial blocking out of the moon's glow. Was that it?

I was so disappointed, once the moon was eclipsed i saw nothing until it reappeared.

It was a clear, clear night here and I watched the eclipse. I thought it was great although we didn't get the red moon we had read about, just a kind of pinkish tinge. Still, it was brilliant to see.

It was really bright afterwards, shining off the wet road. It made it seem like 7am the way the sky was lit up by the moon. :cool:

We were lucky here, total visibility. The moon turned a sort of burnt orange colour, it looked amazing.

Typically the moon was directly behind my chimmneys, so it meant walking out into the street to see anything. I couldn't be bothered after the initial lack of anything to see.

If it hadn't have been raining I would have gone to my parents' to see the eclipse. The town I live in has too much light pollution and too many tall buildings.

I saw it! Thought it was pretty interesting myself... such a lovely clear night for it too. It wasn't as dark red as I thought it would be, but we were in quite a light area so I don't know if that affected it... very vampish I thought! :)

the eclipse was a big cheat here, as it was at 6:30 PM you actually needed to take out all the mountains to see something, by the time the moon was high enough the eclipse was over.
