I have no clue why the pick date was pole day. Makes no sense at all.

Makes perfect sense...
Indycar picks are always due before the first practice session of the race weekend. Since the race weekend is not really a weekend..it's a month, it's a fair compromise to have the picks due before the cars roll out for qualifying...not only because you may not know every single driver in the race up until then, but because it's unfair to those who picked prior to how the field is to be set for the race.

Sorry EagleEye, you missed out this round...pick thread was even posted on the boards for 2 full weeks.

FWIW, the biggest race of the year has less entries than any other race so far this year. I vote to open it up and let everyone who wants to play enter. Those of us who already entered can change our picks if we so desire.

What's the harm? It's only for fun, and it's no fun to close the pickem's 10 days before the race.

I hope so too...any ideas to market or promote the game feel free to PM me or post here. I would love to have more consistent players.

Myself, I have gotten my mother (mmw053), father (GaryLW), and sister (Indyrack) involved. Trying to get two of my other racing buddies involved, but they are not feeling open to it, but will try again in 2011!!
