not long to go now till one of my favourite rallys of the year :D :D

Might give Porlock a miss though this year as it was a pain in the ass with its timing and so will just stay in the forests for the day.

Entry list: http://www.motorclub.org.uk/ssr_entries/entrylist/data.htm

I'm just following the top guys around this year so plan on making it to Porlock for the first time in 5 years!

Will see what I can do in the morning but Exeter v Charlton in the afternoon so will have to get back for that. If it's anything like last year then I can manage to see the double run through Chargot and still have plenty of time to get back for the football. Great driving road on the way up too

Yea the road up to Minehead is one of the best around, did it at around 6.30am last year and barely saw another car :D

I may still do Porlock, it just depends what time of the day they run it :)

Just over a week to go now and the entry is steadily growing, though no Burton or Hunter yet.

Got an early finish tomorrow so im gonna go up and recce some decent spots to watch from :)

Has anyone got details of stage times etc. yet? I'm really limited on what I can do, most likely going to be watching the double run through Chargot like I did last year, although obviously I'd rather be at Porlock

Looking forward to this one now always one of the best events. Hopefully Burton puts a late entry in but depends if the engine is ready on time. Dont think Hunter will be entering ethier as hes switched to tarmac events at moment.

Gutted :(

I always enjoy watching him throw the car around, and he easily looked the fastest down the hill of Timberscombe last year.

Burton now on the entry list. Should be a great battle between him and Perez after their close fight at the Sunseeker!

Just back from a very dusty, but brilliant days rallying at the Somerset Stages!

Watched a bit of Timberscombe 1 before moving onto Croyden where Burton covered everyone in dust where we were, could barely see for 30 seconds or so.

Then we moved to Porlock where some brilliant action around the sharp second hairpin rewarded a long walk down to the stage. Met Luke (306Cosworth) in one of the car parks, and had a bit of a chat on the way down, looking forward to seeing your coverage mate and cheers again for the maps and times :D

Last stage I was was Timberscombe 2 where Burton and Co were doing silly speeds down the hill, would love to see the data from that stage. Moved up to the ever tightening hay bale chicane where I saw an Impreza stall before a Skoda Felicia spun then nearly took out a speccy while trying to turn around.

Only took 3 pics as my battery died even though I fully charged it yesterday, so must be something up there. Still quite glad that I dont have to sort through 300 pics or so.

Well yesterday didn't go quite to plan. Found a reasonable spot on a 90 left in Croyden 1 and then tried to move on to Knowle. Sadly got our timings a bit wrong and heard Burton set off pretty much as we got of the car. Decided not to bother there and instead head to Porlock and watch somewhere closer to the car than the hairpin. Ended up at a long, open hairpin right but only had time to see a handful of cars through once before heading off to watch the football. Reasonable day, I'll try and sort out photos and videos at some point, although I might be heading to Wiscombe today instead

Sounds a bit like that day we had at Sunseeker, sometimes they go perfectly and others it can be one massive pain in the RS.

3 pics from me before the battery died...

Nice to meet you too Ally. The walk back from the hairpin to the car on Porlock was a killer with my camera!

Here's a short video from me featuring the Top 3 finishers.

Nice vids Luke, even if I can't have the sound on at work. Burton has got his technique perfect for that hairpin

Three pics from me, all a bit lame TBH with out of focus bits or over/under exposed.

Great stuff lads.

How much Anti-lag was Wright use in his Evo, sounded like we were in Basra everytime we saw him!

Also got to give credit to the driver of the Number 205 Corsa who drove like a loon all day and the flame throwing Proton. Was never really into the 1400s before but now really enjoy them :D
