It's confirmed now: as published this morning on WRC.com, there's a new type of points system. Now, the top-ten will be awarded, rather than the top-eight.
Points distribution are:
1st: 25 points
2nd: 18 points
3rd: 15 points
4th: 12 points
5th: 10 points
6th: 8 points
7th: 6 points
8th: 4 points
9th: 2 points
10th: 1 point
Also, the huge gap between 1st and 2nd makes us think the same intentions than in the point system introduced in F1 for this year: to try to push as much as possible for a win.
