or

‘We will make the West so corrupt that it stinks.'

Exerpts from
http://catholicinsight.com/online/features/article_882.shtml

which illuminates the role of Frankfurt School in the formation and implementation of left-wing ideology dating from its formation to this very day.

To further the advance of their ‘quiet’ cultural revolution - but giving us no ideas about their plans for the future - the School recommended (among other things):

1. The creation of racism offences.
2. Continual change to create confusion
3. The teaching of sex and homosexuality to children
4. The undermining of schools’ and teachers’ authority
5. Huge immigration to destroy identity.
6. The promotion of excessive drinking
7. Emptying of churches
8. An unreliable legal system with bias against victims of crime
9. Dependency on the state or state benefits
10. Control and dumbing down of media
11. Encouraging the breakdown of the family

One of the main ideas of the Frankfurt School was to exploit Freud’s idea of ‘pansexualism’ - the search for pleasure, the exploitation of the differences between the sexes, the overthrowing of traditional relationships between men and women. To further their aims they would:

• attack the authority of the father, deny the specific roles of father and mother, and wrest away from families their rights as primary educators of their children.
• abolish differences in the education of boys and girls
• abolish all forms of male dominance - hence the presence of women in the armed forces
• declare women to be an ‘oppressed class’ and men as ‘oppressors’
Munzenberg summed up the Frankfurt School’s long-term operation thus: ‘We will make the West so corrupt that it stinks.'

The School believed there were two types of revolution: (a) political and (b) cultural. Cultural revolution demolishes from within. ‘Modern forms of subjection are marked by mildness’. They saw it as a long-term project and kept their sights clearly focused on the family, education, media, sex and popular culture.

There are very few theoretical books on arts, letters, or language published today in the United States or Europe which do not openly acknowledge their debt to the Frankfurt School. The witchhunt on today’s campuses is merely the implementation of Marcuse’s concept of ‘repressive toleration’-‘tolerance for movements from the left, but intolerance for movements from the right’-enforced by the students of the Frankfurt School’.

It is simple.

Those that can....do.

Those that can't...teach.

If you are a successful businessman you are working in the private sector, powering the economy, providing jobs..ect.

If you are a bad businessman you can always teach at business school.

Those who study things like History, philosophy and such hate the fact they cannot compete in the real world and need the protection of "tenure".

Think of it as a jealous/self-loathing complex.

The world is far from being this simple.

Does it not occur to you that some people teach because they enjoy doing so?

I've always felt that teaching occurs when someone has an idea that could possible help the production of the product. Thus if we are not all teachers we are only hurting ourselfs and the favorable outcomne of our own completion to the product.

Nothing occurs to Vop.
he has never, from anything written here, ever had a thought or idea that originated within his skull.
He merely repeats things.

Usually unusually stupid things, usually tired stupid cliches.
like his latest.

To the OP;

You cannot be serious in posting this trash, can you?

I think it is an interesting theory (this list) but do I think it is an organized effort? No...there things on the list in the above quote the left asa whole pretty much agrees on, such as undermining the churches (they distrust them as a rule, but there leftist members of churches), the war on the family (socialized healthcare, welfare state programs that in theory help, but practice hurt families), feminist attacks on society (men are ALWAYS wrong, men are to be ignored in family court vis a vis the rights as a parent); and other issues.

I do think tho it is a little too simplified. As for the argument put forth in teaching, unlike Tony; I get why someone would teach it and isn't always because they cannot do. Many have done, and don't want to do it any more. The best teachers usually have real world experience and were good in the field they are teaching. They are also by and large NOT Professors at major Universities...in which the idea of Tenure is most sacred. THAT is fine if we want to encourage indpendent thought, but some professors are just out to lunch. That's fine, most students pretty readily grasp the real loons ARE loons, and the ones who wouldn't? They post on forums such as this...... and defend the most stupid things. My signature says it all.....

I am doing rather well at my daytime job, but I am also a part time historian and my books do sell. I also believe that history can teach people tons of practical things, if you know how to connect knowledge and real life.

Small Minority and most of them are those who already accomplished what they wanted to in the private sector.

Actually most college professors teach because they have to to maintain their University research.

Well whether you appreiciate teachers or not, they educate kids and young adults. Instead of just condemning them as all Marxists and reactionaries (we have a few those who post on the forum), maybe put the time and effort into demanding school boards and public institutions be accountable to be politically neutral in their curriculum and teaching. Most mature teachers can understand the difference between their private views and their teaching. I also know if you are a good parent, then nothing these imbeciles who want minds full of mush will sink in if it doesn't match your values. You give the kids a template for life in what you think is right, and they will weigh what they learn later based on that. My dad was conservative but didn't really understand it while being a good union man. So I ended up having conservative values and quickly realizing some of what he thought about was contradictory, so I learned as much as I could about left vs right thinking and philosophy. I didn't need or ask the teachers for their opinion, and I made up my own mind, and god knows I have heard some pinko, commie professors in my days....

Everyone can make up their own mind if they are smart enough to actually question it all, and not just suck it up.
