Oh, and I forgot to add: Saturday's 500 quals will be affected by strong cross winds down both the back and front stretches, making turn 4 especially treachorus. At least rain won't be an issue.

A cold day in Florida. There will be the obligatory Canadians out there in shorts..but this winter has been brutal down there....

Looks like the majority of the precip will hold off until this evening, and be gone by morning. SO, 500 qualifying practice should get in ok.

Weather looks good for the ARCA race, will be cold and windy for the Shootout, as well as for the Space Shuttle launch that will occur just 6 hours later.

Theres a storm aproaching the Daytona speedway and its going to hit around 8pm.
The wind will subside and the clouds will disapate but the storms a comin you can bet the farm on it.
The shootouts here and with the commish letting them race and the car makers having trouble keeping workable autos on the market; the real revenge for the common enthusiist will be between the green and checkered flags this eveing.
I look for a wild and entertaining ride for this race.Think back to you're best carnival ride and magnify that by 43.
