Have I missed an existing on this thread, because there doesn't seem to be one. The FIA today confirmed that points will be awarded as follows

1st - 25
2nd - 18
3rd - 15
4th - 12
5th - 10
6th - 8
7th - 6
8th - 4
9th - 2
10th - 1

Well it wasn't when I posted :P that thread was over a week old and didn't see it on the first page. I'm surprised nobody posted about it before I did as it was announced at 10.30

That's because the news that the system had been tweaked already broke over a week ago, so today's announcement hardly caught anyone by surprise :)

It does make much more sense than what they had before, as at least the gaps between positions is consistent, not like before where there were gaps of 2 points, then a random 3 point gap!
