IndyCar will have only one open test before the season starts. Teams will test at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama on February 24-26th. The Firestone Indy Lights will also be testing at this time. The season begins March 14th in Brazil for IndyCar and March 28th for the Indy Lights.
IndyCar teams will also test May 4th at Kentucky Speedway. The Firestone Indy Lights will test on May 3rd at Kentucky Speedway.
IZOD IndyCar Series teams are allowed up to six private testing days and a minimum of 800 miles testing depending on the number of full-time cars fielded by the team, in addition to the Open Test dates. Teams can earn (http://www.lasttofirst.com/index.php?topic=1065.0#) an additional 300 bonus testing miles by testing a Firestone Indy Lights driver at least 600 miles for a maximum of three private test days. Three teams will test at Sebring International Raceway next week.
