Lovely stuff and by running him in an old chassis it basically cements the reason for doing the test has naff all to do with driver or car development and a lot more to do with getting some publicity! Obviously Ferrari didn't want him using up any of their precious proper testing time at the beginning of February. Valentino is a superb rider and a great (if somewhat eccentric) personality but it is clear whilst he enjoys the opportunity to test F1 cars he has no ambitions in actually racing F1.

On another note - Ferrari - stop going on about 3 car teams - it aint gonna happen!!

He is wise.

The much vaunted Sebastien Loeb Loeb tested a GP2 car during an actual test and was extremely slow :o

Stopped the Red Bull people asking him to race the Toro Rosso!
