As a Ferrari supporter, i've been waiting all my life (well since '07 :p :) for Alsonso to go to Ferrari, but now Michaels back I guess i'll have to support both, which could be hard.

It's rare that I'm fully behind any one team, but McLaren, with Button and Hamilton has to be the one to follow for 2010! Lets hope every race is a McLaren 1-2 ;)

I really wanted Webber to win it in 2009 but all the players that had a chance at the WDC all seemed to crappy days at the same time.

I'd like to see Webber win the 2010 WDC but I'm afraid if that Button guy can come out of retirement and take the WDC then that Schumacher fellow can probably do the same.

I do not support Schumacher and a German "national team" in racing makes me uncomfortable, but certainly if Schumacher returns and accomplishes what Niki Lauda has, as an indvidual, as a racing driver, I too will cheer him on.

Why? Because great individual achievement is something that lifts the human being to its heroic best.

And it is this same individual heroism that carried Jenson all these years without cracking him but tempering him well into the driver that won, and under great pressure, the 2009 world championship.

His greatest drive? Not Monte Carlo or any of his other victories this year - but as so many of the people that know him very well have stated, was his drive at Interlagos.

Similarly, Schumacher's greatest championship if he wins the title again, will be his 8th. If he is the driver so many think that he is, we are going to be in for a real treat.

Mclaren and Britain do not have the history as Mercedes Benz and Germany with "national teams" do.

Its not fear or anger. I think it is an image that a German national team portrays which hearkens back to the past - just makes me uncomfortable even though I know the team will still be as British really as it was in 2009 other than the majority owners, the drivers and the engine.

Ater all I do enjoy the DTM and have no problems with that :D

Siemens made communication equipment for the German army during the Second World War, and they also manufacture components for Mclaren whilst being a sponsor. They also employed jews before they were sent to extermination camps in their factories in Hamburg and Munich. How does that make you feel?

Mercedes are not a national team as far as I am concerned. They own a majority share/controlling stake in a British team and have chosen to base themselves in the United Kingdom. The majority of the design team and workforce are British and its purely for marketing reasons that they appear to flying the flag for Germany.

Mclaren have ultimately developed into a national team and this keeps the sponsors happy. Mclaren couldn't care less about the nationalities of the drivers as long as it brings in the wins and makes alot of money.. :)

I do not think the inclusion of countres, anthems and flags all pretending that the drivers and teams that race are representing countries should be.

Most of the drivers do not even live in "their home" countries anyway - Jenson has not actually lived in Britain for TEN years and for the past two years Lewis has lived in Switzerland!

After a grand prix there should be the raising of the manufacturers flags and the rostrum should proceed WITHOUT government ministers or "royalty" - but then of course government money should also be banned from ALL motor racing and so and so forth - Bernie loves taking the taxpayer money and money from the oil producer hoodlum countries and other variety facist countries that hold grands prix.

Bruce's old team - Jenson is a perfect fit then, because for the first time in a long while Mclaren has signed a driver that would fit in just perfectly with Mclaren drivers such as Bruce himself, Denny Hulme, Peter Revson, Jody Scheckter, Mike Hailwood, James Hunt and Jochen Mass :D

Could not think of a greater Mclaren driver antithesis than Alonso.

This is a very dificult one and I will probably be closer to being a neutral this year than ever..actually I was a neutral in 2009 too, oh wait..I was on the anyone-but-Button side.

I like Fernando Alonso and Rubens Barrichello on the current grid. Ironically I was also a Ferrari fan till Rubens got screwed by them over and over.
Another guy I like -Raikkonen - is no longer in F1.

I guess I will keep a keen eye on the red team as Massa has also gained respect in my eyes over the last 2 years (especially after the cruel way he "lost" the title in Brasil 2008)
