23rd February 2007, 01:23
Hello everyone,

Just wanted to let you all know about TFOOR - THE FEDERATION OF ONLINE RACERS -http://www.tfoor.com/ (http://www.tfoor.com/)

TFOOR is a working project which is being built by the racing community and all racing genres both Consoles and PC. So please join in as it's as much yours as ours. TFOOR aims to be an independent governing body setup by some of the elite racing teams on the PC, Microsoft's Xbox and Xbox 360 and Sony's PS2 networks. We need your input if it is to be successful. We will be concentrating on three key areas - Racing Drivers, Event and League organisers & Game Developers:

Racing Drivers
============

TFOOR aims to be an independent governing body which will be responsible for implementing and enforcing racing driver rules & regulations. This will also be extended to such matters like dual gamertags in scoreboards or other forums of cheating. In game mannerisms and driver etiquette will be high on the list. Driver conduct and behaviour both on and off track will also be areas TFOOR will be focusing on. We will be constructing a judicial process and also an appeal system.

Event and League organisers
===================

Online racing is vast and is becoming very popular. So in order to make our environment better as big tournaments and leagues start to emerge like the WCG, WSVG and now the amazing CGS we feel this is the perfect time for all racers to come together and help support TFOOR so we can offer help and our first class experience to organisers in order to help them implement rules, regulations, complaints procedures and a judicial process in order to address such matters.

Game Developers
============

We will also be encouraging game developers to get involved in a proactive capacity in one central place. Getting all game developers involved with the racing community and event organisers will also help in producing better simulators and also help breach a long arduous process that has previously slowed development time down in the past. We also believe it will encourage speedy resolutions to some in game technical problems which may arise. Moreover providing a portal unseen before where all members of the racing community can come together with the simulation creators to help further improve on what is already written in stone.

Your help will allow us to work with all parties to ensure and encourage a proactive element in our diverse community. We require your input to help make the racing community a fair and competitive environment. Over the coming months we plan on building rules and regulations to help event and league organisers to implement them. We are also looking at disciplinary and complaints procedures. We are looking for standards which can be implemented with little effort and community support and your input will help us all to implement this.

To sum up TFOOR is for all racers from all platforms and aims to serve all racers, help and support event organisers, leagues and tournaments and importantly to offer first class support to the simulation developers who make all this happen.

We all have a chance to make our racing community a better place so any input is very much welcomed. Importantly if any team managers would like access to our members section please fire us up an email to: info@tfoor.com and introduce yourself and your team and we will readily open the doors to get you involved in the policy process.
