Nice, but it's all fun and games until someone hits a solid object at 140 mph

Hello Bruce,

Hi. This is a home made gokart project not really intended to compete against, say 125ccm gokart. This gokart is usually Number 0 in hillclimbing events as an attraction, not to race against time. Hillclimbing isn't safe as such and you just need to be careful and try not to crash.

What is safe anyway.. you think this is safe?

Hillclimbs are just way more dangerous than a track..

Hello Kev. I just want to say my opinion wasn't meant to be dismissive towards your imaginative project but the brief nature of it might have communicated such. If so apologies are offered. In truth mounting a superbike engine upon a kart chassis has been one of my daydream projects. It's the most cost-effective path I can think of for experiencing formula car levels of performance. However even for a non-competitive hillclimb I think the seating position, steering shaft location, and zero crush zone pegs the safety needle. JMHO. I bet it's a blast though :)
