best rally for onboard viewing

I think that germany is best for onboard viewing because of the chaniging surfaces and challenging conditions.

Finland definately. Then comes technical and "special" tarmac, like Germany and Ireland. Duval's run through Dhrontal is really incredible. Snow is beautiful. Therefore Norway and Sweden.

Fast (and semi-fast) gravel rallies in general are very nice. Poland, Sardinia, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, etc.

I actually really don't even care about the rally. If it's an interesting driver I could ride onboard the whole rally. :)

I prefere tarmac in onboards but fast gravel is also great. Slow gravel rallys are however quite boring for me...

And I must say I wast impressed by Rally du Valais lately. Just watch this one, complete ;)

Sometimes when I longing for exciting rallying I look at this one. Absolutely thrilling! (and nice to be able to know much of the stage myself, being ther several times on the rally and even doing some private recce during the NORF)

monte can be quite slow though, in the mountain sections when there is snow and teams go out on slicks, the cars basically have to crawl through the stages.

i think finland can be quite spectacular for in car's.
there is a video of Tommi from quite a few years back (2003?) that is very entertaining still to watch....

Snow, errrr most of the onboard videos have a little flaw xD you only see white stuff, can't even see where the road is (also the drivers: infact a lot of them wear special glasses, I know)

No, not really. We just tried the RBR simulator which was pretty good. I love the RBR and will maybe in the future build up a drivingsimulator in my barn... :cool:
