According to Curt Cavin, with Mikey's team finalized it's expected that Danica's 2-year deal will soon be announced.

I got the news of this new name text to my phone yesterday.

I personally dont like the name, it doesnt flow right. Better names would of been...

Michael Andretti Racing
Team Andretti

I like it. And the logo is, in my view, great! Too bad Mario is not running the show! I'm sure the team will go by "Andretti" informally.

Yea, Andretti Autosport will take some getting used to. It's not horrific, just the first current ICS team to use Autosport instead of Racing or Motorsport I believe, though the alliteration is a nice touch.

The logo is very sharp though.

I like it, a little classier than the other team names that were considered, like Andretti Racing. Logo is also very nice.

Thanks Nick. I just laughed out loud :) I wasn't expecting to see that.

I'll get used to the name. I thought "Andretti Motorsport" rolled off the tongue a little better. But then again, what do I know? I like Will Power!

Honda factory team would be better.

Not anymore, Honda has made it relatively clear that Andretti Autosport is no longer their favorite team.

Honda and lies go back long ways as I remember. Honda's $$$ is driving this team from day1 to date.

I can't seem to make out the work "TEAM" in "Andretti Autosport". Been a problem for 3 years running now. Obviously they wouldn't include the word TEAM in their name...it just doesn't fit.

Yeah, having TEAM in the name would have been very hard for their drivers to live up to...

funny...but why not "andretti motorsports" was my first thought when i hear the name...


the logo is very "American" isnt it?!?!

The logo is very classy. Fits perfectly with the class and admiration of Mario Andretti.

Ooops...I forgot. It's Michael Whine-dretti running the team. I take it all back....

What is the value in such a post? I have a great feeling about the approach Michael is taking. He is hiring quality people and focusing on driver development.
I think the team will take a step in the right direction this year.
