Toyota's completed 2010 Formula One car, the TF110, is reportedly available for purchase by other teams.
The French newspaper Le Parisien said that despite the Japanese manufacturer deciding to pull out of F1 immediately, its Cologne-based team had completed the design for next season.
USF1 and Manor would be the most likely potential customers, given that fellow new entrant Lotus is working with Aerolab on its 2010 car, and the Dallara-built Campos chassis has already passed its front and lateral FIA crash tests.
Meanwhile, development of Sauber/Qadbak's car has been continuous despite BMW's withdrawal, and although Toro Rosso must for the first time be a full constructor in 2010, work on the Faenza-based team's next car is well advanced.
It is also believed that the car design of the rejected 2010 entrant Lola is for sale, after a 50% scale wind tunnel model dubbed the MB-01 was revealed recently.

Just for record the photo that complimented the news piece I dont think is a 2010 car yet a 2008 showcar with 2009 wings hence the unfamiliar car

Far from selling the design they should sell the team as a going concern like Honda did.

All the teams, new ones included should be too far advanced with their 2010 designs/cars to simply adopt this 2010 design - the only real value at this stage can surely only be for anecdotal nosing at what Toyota planned to do and perhaps nicking an idea here and an idea there etc.

I agree, or cut the team down a little and go racing somewhere else. I suspect though that buyers are still thin on the ground.

If I had the money, I'd rather spend it on this:

Schuey's '94 Benetton complete with - interestingly - traction control. :D

Classic! And who was in charge of Benetton in '94 now? Oh I forget - no doubt some highly respected and sporting team boss ;-)

and assuming the car was legal,I mean it's not a hoax or something, why wouldn't Schumi be on the list to take the car home,I believe that would hold quite a bit of sentimental value to him

The 2010 Toyota would probably be a much better car than any of the new teams could design on their own, so it would be quite logical for someone to buy the design. Could be a neat way for US F1 to beat all the other new teams for example. ;)

I'd buy it for that. I'm sure I could also rake together an engine from Cosworth and maybe even an engineering team as well. I hear Triple 8 aren't doing anything... doo dee doo doo doo...

USF1 should try to get the money together and buy that Toyota design straight away. Even with a Cosworth engine, it would surely be quicker than what they'll have next year. Toyota-chassis would be at least an average to quick contemporary F1 car, a good starting point.

agreed. USF1 would be a whole lot helped with a toyota chassis than their model IMO. but i could be very wrong of course. but even uSF1 seem to be advanced in designing the car, so maybe too late for everyone.
