my my...Lotus really are looking prepared. well done to them, naturally for a team that only was garunteed a place on the grid next year less than 2 months ago have really surprised me in their development. must have started before they were given the official green light by the FIA..........
and well done to them. looking good lotus!

Go Lotus!
I've been looking forward to supporting a new team from the ground up and it seems they are by far the most prepared of all the newbies - or at least the most vocal of the new teams regarding their progress.

I'm cheering for them out of the new teams, will be nice to have a classic name back, as well as a car manufacturer. I'm very well aware that it is not the same as the old Lotus team, but to me it still deserves the name as the actual Lotus road car brand is behind it, which is still making awesome proper sport cars btw. :) I just hope that they get some descent and experienced drivers.

heheh what makes me believe the premises is just because it has green mockup, the rest of it, it doesn't look any better representative than home industry producing snacks...
however that sufficient development is properly prepared so that they can be competitive next year, good luck.

why are Lotus so desperate to let people know their car is on track? Are they having sponsorship difficulties?

Maybe to quell the rumours that they might not make it onto the grid in 2010, its a way of saying "look, this is where we are, preparations are going well and we will be there!" Mike Gascoyne is in an equally optimistic mood too

Besides, i dont think they have a problem with sponsors anyway, Tony Fernandes is their main backer and he owns Air Asia so they've got a canny few quid to spend.

If there is ONE new team I do NOT have funding doubts about, it would have to be Lotus... I doubt the Malaysian government would let them fall through, and there is plenty of sponsorship money in Asia at the moment...
I think it's nice that they are being more transparent, it helps in building a fan base... compared to Campos, who allegedly already crash tested their components, but haven't shown us anything to drool over yet... I think it's good PR to release a few little pics for the fans and pundits.
