Spies qualifies ninth already beating Toseland on the same damn bike. Is Toseland really that bad, or is Spies that damn good?

Also, I'm making a sort of prediction here. Ben Spies to replace Andrea Dovizioso at Honda in 2011.

Also, I'm making a sort of prediction here. Ben Spies to replace Andrea Dovizioso at Honda in 2011.

Fairly remarkable achievement for Spies after a few hours on this bike. He may not employ his usual racecraft skills on his first outing and risk swapping paint with anyone but I wouldn't mind betting that if he can get a relatively clear run we may even see him in about a 5th or 6th place.

Don't know so much about the (sort of) Honda 2011 prediction.

WOW What a 250 race! :eek:

Hiroshi went so wide into the gravel trap and managed to get back in 11th - he needed to finish there or above if Simoncelli was leading (he was) at the time

Simoncelli crashed out giving Barbra 2nd as well as giving Hiroshi the championship

Great Race, Great Championshp, Great World Champion :champion:

Last motogp of the decade comming up - 2007 will always hold a special place in my heart forever :D

That was pretty strange alright. Have a look on Youtube tomorrow for footage taken by spectators, might show what actually happened.

Bit of a dull old race... not sure if I'll watch to the end. On Friday I picked Pedrosa to finish second and ahead of Rossi/Yamaha, so in a way I was sort of right...

Cold front tyre washed out on Stoner while trying a bit too hard for a bit of heat.

Impressed by Spies attitude and race performance coming home in 7th.

Sayonara 250 2-strokes. Glad to see Aoyama the 250 champ...nice guy.

Brain fart by Stoner, handing the win on a silver platter to Pedrosa. What's up with the Yamahas and this track? Last year they couldn't do much either.

Hiroshi Aoyama the 250 CC champion on a Honda! Who would have thought this or predicted this at the start of the year? Japanese rider on Japanese(although development in Europe) machinery, Honda must be very happy.

Shame about Stoner - made him look like a right prat! Virtually gave the race to Dani on a plate. What a save by Horhay, big moment!! Must say the rest of the race was fairly uninspiring, apart from Ben's excellent ride, most impressed.
While I feel a little sorry for James, he hasn't really cut it this season, for whatever reason. Now it's up to Ben to see if he can work with Colin to get more performance out of the bike.
The end of the 250's is the end of an era. Big shame in my opinion. And Honda get the contract for the Moto2 engines.........mmmm :mad:

Interesting interview on BBC with Scott Redding, needs cash to continue next year on a Moto2 bike. If he was Spanish/Italian it would be no problem, but I fear he might have a job getting the money. Just look at the lack of British sponsors on the British 125 boys bikes.

Pretty cool that Ben was able to help Colin get 5th. He ran a solid race and didn't push it. On a side note, was it just me, or is that Sterilgarda M1 the best looking bike on the track?
