After Harry Kallström and Pentti Airikkala earlier this year, Ingvar Carlsson has died too, only aged 62.

Not the most famous WRC driver, but he did take two wins with a mediocre Mazda.

Rest in peace.

Wow terrible news - his wins in the Mazda, particulalry in NZ when he won very well against the very fast local guys(esp Millen) - showed his talent. RIP.

Sad year for rallysport.

Besides rallying, Carlsson was also involved in the prestigious Mercedes tuning company named after him.

Rest in Peace.

That is sad news, his former co-driver Per Carlsson (are they related?, I know it is a very common name) told some funny stories of his days co-driving with him.

RIP

I also was not aware that Harry Kallstrom had died either.

R.I.P Ingvar Carlsson!

Another star of rallying gone, but not to be forgotten.

Note: DOD is October 28, not 29 as mentioned in several news.

And nope, co-driver Per Carlsson was not related to Ingvar.
