How it works: Points are awarded according to the F1 points system i.e. 10,8,6,5,4,3,2,1
The first car to drop out of the race gets 10 points, the second car gets 8 points etc. If you finish the race you don't get any points at all. Just being slow is not good enough!

In the drivers championship, Kovalainen ties on points with Buemi but Hekki takes the championship as he had three 'wins' to Buemi's two.

1. Kovalainen 38
2. Buemi 38
3. Alguersuari 37
4. Sutil 32
5. Nakajima 27
6. Trulli 27
7. Bourdais 26
8. Vettel 22
9. Kubica 21
10.Alonso 21
11.Grosjean 16
12.Hamilton 16
13.Webber 15
14.Piquet 14
15.Heidfeld 13
16.Massa 13
17.Raikkonen 11
18.Fisichella 10
19.Barichello 8
20.Liuzzi 5
21.Button 5
22.Rosberg 4
McLaren may have piloted one of their own to the drivers crown but the deconstructors championship belongs to Torro Rosso's with a massive championship win with nearly double the points of their nearest rival.

1. Torro Rosso 101
2. McLaren 54
3. Renault 51
4. Force India 47
5. Red Bull 37
6. BMW 34
7. Williams 31
8. Toyota 27

And with these stats you see clearly why Brawn won the titles in the real championship...

Very interesting, shows the consistency of Brawn and Button, while Vettel finishing 2nd despite being 8th in the deconstructors shines through.

Is that a 3rd win in a row for Torro Rosso? Do they get to keep the trophy?

The 'unpublished statistic' in the drivers' standings there is that Timo Glock finished every race that he started and as such has no points.

The 'unpublished statistic' in the drivers' standings there is that Timo Glock finished every race that he started and as such has no points.

A very interesting fact when you consider that Glock probably led the championship in spins last year, couldn't keep his 'Yoter pointed in the right direction at Monaco with three spins before clouting the guardrail to end his race, and had two very wicked shunts (Melbourne and Germany)
