BNP leader Nick Griffin has agreed to ask his party to amend its constitution so it does not discriminate on grounds of race or religion, a court heard.

The UK's equalities watchdog had argued the BNP broke the Race Relations Act by restricting members to "indigenous Caucasian" people.
The court heard Mr Griffin had agreed to use "all reasonable endeavours" to revise its constitution.
BNP members will be asked to agree to the changes at a meeting in November.

Mr Griffin was not at the hearing at Central London County Court on Thursday morning......

How wonderful would it be for British people (white and non white) who despise the BNP all take out membership and gain control of the party and vote off the racist thugs who run it at present...

It will not make a bit of difference. If anything, this case is just a bit more publicity for the BNP.

Other than for subversive reasons (as detailed by Cooper S) I can't see why anyone non-white would want to join the BNP.

actually I was surprised the party still had a non white membership policy, although I would expect very few non whites to want to join I thought they had to at the very least allow non whites the option of joining

The only way the BNP look good is when compared to even more thuggish organisations like the EDL... The article makes reference to the legal fees almost bankrupting them, if only... they are already morally bankrupt so to be financially bankrupt would be a wonderful double for them

The BBC interview with Chris Roberts was painful to watch. Both of them were a bit thick...

This is just another case of political correctness gone mad.
