It is with regret and sadness that I am posting this, having just found out that June Aslin passed away yesterday. Most of you probably won't know, or even have heard of June, but in the 70's she helped my father set up the Forest Rally Radio group, and when he then went off to run a recovery unit, June took over the running of the group, and has done ever since. She was involved in rallying since the 60's and was out pretty much every weekend.
A lot of people will have met or seen her at some point, if I were to mention an elderly lady in a top of the range Impreza (or RS2000/Opel Manta in the 70's/80's - and she could drive them too!) with a Westie dog i'm sure a lot of people would know who i am talking about.
She was a lovely, lady, a close family friend and will be a big loss to Rally Marshalling/Radio.
