At the start Pedrosa will pull away out of the crowds, he needs to keep the lead and avoid mistakes, otherwise this will be close battle between two yamaha riders again.

I'm hoping that Hayden can get a good start and avoid being punted by others in the first few corners. If he can stay nice and keep the first few in sight, I recon he may get another good result.

Me too, and now his contract is signed for 2010 with Ducati he should be full of confidence.

Sometimes I hate it when I'm wrong. Watching the 125's with my old man, I told him on the last lap that Simon would win and it pretty much went as expected. Iannone's 'Glasgow kiss' wasn't particularly classy, even below the last corner pass he attempted.

Unbelievable last lap was literally shouting at the TV as the riders went down at the last corner even though you could kind of see it coming. Is there any kind of punishment in GPs for fighting in theg ravel traps lol?

And then there were 2. 250's race was one for the ages. Most aggressive but clean race I've seen for a while. Goodbye Marco.

Another great race betwen the Yamahas. Pedrosa too good for the others, but not good enough for the Yamahas. Another great battle for 4th, which Dovi always seems to win but not without a battle. Would have been interesting to see how Edwards, Hayden and Angelis would have done...

Another great race between the Yamaha's? This race was very boring and again each rider at the finish took points. Three Italian and three Spanian riders in the top 6, I thought this is a World championship...

This was the last race of the season this season that Elias got a top 6 result as we know him. Still he would have a contract next year I am afraid.

The first half of the race was interesting, until Dani dropped off I thought.

I had an amusing (to me) thought during the second half of the race - Stoner was lambasted for making the racing boring in his break-out season, now that he's not there the racing is boring :D

Rossi is gradually crushing Lorenzo. I wonder will he hold? I really respect his grit and talent, but Rossi is showing that he still may have his best races ahead of him... scary thought. I liked his post-race comment about how he was fast in certain sectors, so he just made sure he used that to his advantage, a similar comment was made by the winner of WSB Race 1 (no spoiler) who said rider X was fast in certain sectors so he just got in front of him and 'controlled' him through those sectors until it was time to break away for the win. Very efficient racing strategies on display, you won't beat these guys unless you race with your head.

Such a shame for Hayden, and wasn't he p!ssed off with De Angelis... Edwards quote on the incident was pretty funny :p

Just want to elaborate previous prediction...
In the last couple races, Honda and Pedrosa are great combination at the start. They need to observe why that great combination can't last longer, the reliability issue, tyre management, or rider factor. Honda was supposed to run more flawlessly in the heating engine.

Rossi didn't want to be shameful in front of his own public. He took advantage of Pedrosa mistake and created gap with riders behind. He got the second advantage of Pedrosa who gave Lorenzo no way trough for couple laps.

Perhaps if Lorenzo could manage Pedrosa a bit earlier, the teammate close battle would be unavoidable.

I Was thinking much the same thing last night when I saw the DeAngelis debacle going down. Seriously, this is the pinnacle of the sport, surely there are better, less intemperate riders available than he and Elias, for example.

I think that the Grescini team should put Bradley Smith on one of their MotoGP Hondas - a far greater talent and much more mature than DeAngelis.

First half was great but then I fell asleep again, maybe if Nicky and Colin had still been in the race we would have had a good fight further down the field.

I think it is better for Smith to do a season in Moto2 first. From 125cc to MotoGP, it is a big step.

What I find odd is how, in general, Dani starts so quickly then fades, whereas Dovi normally starts slow but gains on the leaders. Mst be something to do with the Honda engine surely? Either short and sweet or slow and steady but not both.

You're probably right, but I think that he has the style to suit a bigger bike- maybe if he was picked up by a team that could put a third bike on the grid and let the lad find his feet without pressure for instant results (like Honda did for Mick Doohan in '89)....?

Not going to happen, I know. But I think the boy has what it takes.

I think that Smith is a great talent too. He is more consistent than last year and he doesn't crash that much this season. It is good to see there are a lot of British talents.

Bradley's doing pretty well this season, just unfortunate that those two crashes at Donington in the wet and then at the Sachsenring have let Julian Simon get a decent lead in the title battle (mind you, Simon crashed at Jerez and lost twelve points misjudging the number of laps at Catalunya).

He's definitely best getting a year or two in Moto2 next - look at how Gabor Talmacsi is struggling in MotoGP having effectively moved straight from 125s to the top class (he did four races with Aspar/Balatonring in 250s early on this year, then moved again).

Just read that Aleix Espagaro got the 5th fastest lap time, did he cut a corner or something lol. Seriously though im pleasantly surprised by the good job hes doing at the moment, I really thought he would be struggling at the back of the field with so little time on the bike.

I agree with all of that its waay too soon for Bradley to move into Moto GP. hes deffo a talented lad, but it would be bad for his career if it didnt work out. His time will come though :)
