Nice question :D , but handball is very unpopular as rallying in North America.
Actually i have played handball in international level as well and in the junior categories i have played against some of the present stars :)

I had to google. But I'm sure they are still better known in Finland than any cricket player or even any handball player.

Funny thing is that when i have talked to my finnish handball colleagues, they know nothing about rallying. Is this some finnish way of disregarding everything else which is not concerning YOURSELF?

I don't know. I think in Finland handball is only popular among the Swedish speaking Finns, so it might be a cultural thing.

Rallying is not as popular in Finland as people make it out to be. Sure people like to go to Jyvaskylä, have a bottle of beer and watch a couple of cars go by but in reality that's it. F1 is by far more popular here.

It's not the quantity of rallyfans here in Finland. It's the quality :D
