Dartford bridge

So apparently assisted crossings on the Dartford bridge have been stopped. Now as I live far away from this bridge I don't know what it's like. Is it some kind of magical bridge, is it actually scary? Does it sway, or is it just another bridge? Because i'm pretty confused at how people need help to get across otherwise, anybody able to clear this up?! :confused:

sounds like a make work project to me. That bridge doesn't look that scary. Let the twit who don't like bridges cross the Mackinac straits bridge connecting the two penisula's of Michigan on a windy day in my truck. Looking through the grates at the straits in the middle of winter scares me on this 5 mile long monster and THAT bridge has no assisted crossing. I just crossed the 17 mile long Cheasapeake Bay Bridge and tunnel on my holiday, and THAT bridge has no assistance. You feel like you are driving across the ocean in the center span yet they have no one to help. My wife has this phobia to an extent but she would LAUGH if there was someone paid to take her across. What a ludicrous idea.....

People with the phobia either cope, or take another way around, or get someone on their own to drive them.
