Anyone know how many cars came away from Daytona *without* significant battle damage?

I think only 5-6 managed that. Harvick and Martin were two of those cars. Not sure who else.

the top 5 escaped, the rest I'm sure some of the cars behind the pack slowed down enough not to hit anyone, Montoya was another that escaped
Sadler, ran straight into Gordon, that Bounced Sadler in a straight line and take 6th, that was something different

I think Kahne may have come out pretty much unscathed - a miracle for him at a restrictor plate track.

Gordon was scraping the wall most of the day then was involved in the last 1-2 accidents. I'm suprised he finished 10th.

Don't forget that Harvick hit some debris that came when #48 wrecked and he had to pit four times to get everything straight again.

the reason why he also had that debris was because he overheated forcing him to fall back

Typical Nascar restrictor plate carnage. Have you ever wondered how many millions of dollars have been wasted by car owners in restrictor plate races?
How many more "big ones" do we have to endure?

Four a year every year isn't it - two at Daytona and two at Talledega. ;)
