Good news, it looks like it will be easyier to follow for spectators also with new first day. Pitty of shorter Col de Turini but I'm looking forward very much :)

I found that there should be 9 km long shakedown over Col Gaudissart which will result in starting order. Does anyone know more?

Cool - they chose IRC again instead of WRC.

If the rally comes close to this years in exitements and coverage, I dont care if it happens on a Thursday !!

No GT's in the Monte, the FIA has forbiden it, because they are not classified in group A or N, which is neccesary even in IRC.

Boo, hiss, killjoys!! Just because it was going to show their silly Championship up for what it is - an irrelevance......

Under what regulations have the Porsche's and Aston Martin been rallying then? In France, Begium and Portugal they compete with real grA and N.

Mirek

They have national homologations only and those homologations are not same in all of those countries. In most of the countries they're N-GT but in Spain or Portugal even circuit specials are allowed (Porsche Supercup cars or FIA GT Aston DBSR9)...

Couldn't the GT cars run the rally but not appear in the IRC results? So they would be classified in the Monte similar to the national championships mentioned.

Citroen is planning to make their debut with the Citroen DS3 S200 in Monte Carlo, driven bij Sebastien Loeb and Dani Sordo. If they succeed in finishing the devellopment, race proof making and the homologations papers in time. In the mean time they work on the second version of the DS3, same chassis, but with a 1,6t for the new WRC class. Monte would then be a test to match te DS3 against the 207 and the Fabia. So hopefully they bring on both cars, one for IRC in 2.0 and one in WRC in 1,6 t version.

Sorry, I had to translate it myself too :) .
Loeb had plans to do this years Monty, but did not dare to do it with a Peugeot 207.

Ofcourse the FIA cannot let Citroen compete in the higher profiled IRC Rallye Monte Carlo, so they want to put Rally Argentina in the same weekend in januari

I'm interested in going to the Rally MC 2010 for my first visit to the classic rally. Just wondering if anyone knows of any tour operators (like RallyTravel) that would provide a fully catered and travel package inc. coach and hotel?

Thanks in advance.

To pettersolberg: If you want to be on Monte Carlo with rally fans, you can join our group. It isnt tour operators, but group of friends from Czech republic and other countries... ;-)

That would be great if possible. Trouble is that I may have exams that week, so I'm not entirely sure if I can go yet. I'll contact you when I know more! Cheers.

I could well imagine Peugeot Sport wanting to run their own team at Monte again next year. Team of Ogier and Sarrazin would be nice, or Loeb :)
