I was hoping that Corsica and Catalonia would have been in consecutive weekends...

Now I have to pick either or...

Still Catalunya on the calendar? Unbelievable, that is a circuit track.

Personally, I hope that Rally Bulgaria stays in ERC and not goes to WRC.

From a british point of view its a great rally. Dirt cheap, still nice and warm compared to the uk, and good views.

Ive been a few times and really like it :D

Ive been a few times and really like it :D Great for a vacation, but not a rally. I bet the rally enthusiasts at Catalunya are bored out of their minds watching the cars wallow around the circuit, oops! - excuse me, rally course. Just painful to watch!

I am pretty happy that acropolis is not in the calendar after that ridiculous farce our organisers produced this year....

True! Probably the worst rally of WRC nowadays

Oh dear, it appears that RallyGB and the RAC Rally are on the same weekend - that will have to change.

What was the issue with the organisers? I was there and the rally was fine (except 2nd Loutraki stage) The rally was one of the best in this year I think.

The issue was that they had to choose between Loutraki and Lamia and they choose Loutraki because of the casino money, and that was the reason every year you see more foreign visitors than greek spectators...

Psycho!

OK, undestood your point. I like the stages very much around Kamena Vorula /Lamia (from late 90's) better than Aghi Theodori stages. My vote is for Parnasos mountain for sure. But on other side rally is rally everywhere. I visited some WRC round (incl Finnland) but my favorite remains the Acropolis Rally even not easy to go from Hungary. It's fantastic to go in the small villages and local peoples welcoming us like we would be also locals.

I don't think they are 100% sure, I would wait a while yet before booking flights, they might go up in price a bit but at least you will be sure of getting the correct times to go :)

Well, went to Rally Bulgaria last year, also going there on Thursday, and to be honest I would not mind watching a WRC round there. It will be totally different tarmac round from the ones we already know. Definately much more sliding...

About Acropolis, I believe that by not being in the 2010 calendar, will give the organisers food for thought! I agree with N.O.T.! The rally in 2005 (Lamia) was voted the best in the WRC calendar! Why change it?

I also agree with Psycho that we will go and watch it wherever it will be done, but still the place that the rally should be done is Lamia!

Anyway, the big problem of the rally is TV time! That thing simply does not exist! Rumours say that the rally next year will count for IRC. If that happens that will be great chance for the organisers to find the TV time which is absolutely necessary for the rally!

portugal in april is wonderful and hot enough
whereas turkey should be in june, when the sea is a little bit warmer

Yes it is. The quality of the tarmac is not ideal, but for the SS sections should be OK. Additional paving has been done to improve it. It has almost everything, slow and technical sections, as well as fast sections. Two of the longest SS involve climing up the mountain, then going down.

The rally is located about 60-70 km south-east from the capital city Sofia.

The rally will run this weekend as part of ERC and it will be under FIA observation. So, nothing for sure about Rally Bulgaria in WRC calendar next year.
